  • Here we go - Poyet explains his behaviour and apologises... to West Ham.

  • When is he going to 'reveal all'? I don't blame him for leaving, but that whole saga is why he is a prick

I think we should forget about this insignificant greedy little shit and focus on those who want to put a red shirt on like the ledge reza and play for us for the pure love of the game and Charlton Athletic Football Club and bizarrely continually turn down better offers elsewhere. Adios and enjoy the hammers reserves.
  • Never did come out and 'explain the truth' behind his move, just like he said he would

Saying you'll do something and then dodging it is happening more and more on this site.

If he ever does confirm the truth, I won't get a tattoo of his name on my arse!
  • He'll play prem games for them this season, while wistfully lamenting the fact that he's not playing Rochdale alongside the talents of Michael Morrison and Loic Negó.
  • ROTHERHAM! duuuuh, really f***ed that one up ha!

I don't get it? Are you implying someone that's played solidly for 3 seasons isn't very good or that Nego will play just as many games as Morro. Bit of a weird thing to say

Possibly he'll play but there's also a good chance he wont. One of the things West Ham fans hate about Allardyce is that he won't give youngsters a chance in PL games even when there's injuries. He would rather play an old, slow player like Matt Taylor totally out of position over picking a youngster.
I don't care what happens to him anymore but there's also part of me that thinks it would be a shame if his talent is wasted.

How has his pre-season been going ?

Saw West Ham come to NZ to play an average Sydney side and the Wellington Phoenix and he was anonymous as they got well beaten in both matches. Rob Elliot on the other hand played well for Newcastle in the tournament - only tested against Wellington to be fair. He made a blinding diving save to turn one around the post.
  • West ham have a preseason tournament being shown on quest this weekend, if anyone is interested in seeing how he fits in that team ATM.

Suddenly redecorating the bedroom seems more appealing. :-)
  • a bad start and fat sam is gone. Bet diego's going to love being 5th choice central midfielder to a new manager that possibly wont rate him or will want to get his own midfielders in.

    Serves him right.

I'm just saying that it can't be denied that Poyet was head and shoulders above nearly everyone else in the team, in terms of natural talent. He wouldn't relish playing alongside limited players for another season when there was a chance of playing alongside better, and in the prem.

LOL, Could see him doing a Joe Hart if he still had his hair...

However his effort was above that of others... not his skill.
  • I think it's fairly likely he was advised against revealing the truth so he didn't look unprofessional in his departure.

If some rumours are true, the truth could have been a little damning towards CAFC so keeping quiet may also have been out of respect for us, rather than sounding off about things the club did that may stir up unrest among the fans etc.

Yes I heard Luca Brasi held a gun to his head and said either your signature or your brains will be on that contract.

Well, it's as good a rumour as all the other bullshit rumours.

He's the one that said the was going to 'reveal all', no one else. If there's nothing to say why didn't he just leave it and say nothing?

Because he is a 19 year old lad with emotions running high with 100s angry Charlton brats abusing him on Twitter. He has probably had a rethink and decided against it, as its not important anymore.

We have all said things that we would do and then haven't done it, especially at 19. The only difference here being there is a load of fake outrage trolls roaming around pretending to be upset.

    Who was better than him?

I think the unnecessary hatred is clouding people's judgement a bit. He was fecking class
I would say his skills were even to those of his colleagues to be honest. I only saw 5 games of his and his effort and desire to win were far better than his skill.
