Colin will be pleased. It will be interesting to see how we get on without him. I think we will miss his captaincy and his steadying influence. A midfield of Gudmundsson, Buyens, Coquelin and Cousins doesnt look too shabby. Who will be captain?

  • Saturday highlighted how important Jackson is to our team still. With Jackson we dominated the first 20 minutes and could've had 2/3.
When Jackson went off Forest slowly became the better side. No coincidence.

I say reliable but they have spelled Johnnie wrong

DATM do have a thread about Jacko now, saying he is on their wanted list
  • Danny Ward: things you may want to know:

    STRENGTHS WEAKNESSES
Long shots Very Strong Crossing Very Weak
    Key passes Strong Finishing Weak
Aerial Duels Strong Defensive contribution Weak

    Cost Huddersfield £1m, WHY?
  • Danny Ward is a good player. Fast, strong, direct. Took us apart at The Valley when playing on loan for Swindon a few years ago.

That 'normally reliable' account which has just started tweeting today after 117 days without any tweets. One of hundreds of nonsense transfer accounts on twitter that people waste their time on because it has the Sky Bet logo as their avatar.

    Agree.

Still seems an odd deal though

  • lol Jackson is going nowhere.
  • His best years are behind him. He's never been that good anyway, especially at this level

that's from someone on DATM regarding Jacko
  • Can't see this happening. Jacko won't want to move north at this stage of his career, plus he's captain and a starter each week.
  • It's nonsense.

Jacko has made it abundantly clear he wants to end his career at Charlton.
  • ONLY let Jackson go if there was a 200% chance of signing Coquelin beforehand!!
  • ONLY let Jackson go if there was a 200% chance of signing Coquelin beforehand!!

Sounds a good choice, but he wouldn't replace Jacko's leadership, on or off the field.

Thats the biggest problem... Jackson is such a huge character off the field, we could replace him with someone in terms of playing ability but it would be so hard to find a better leader
  • Newspapers love to talk up these swap deals - how often do they actually happen ?

Indeed he joined us because he wanted to move down south again (from Notts County)
