Just back, why not an earlier inspection, no doubt they will do the right thing and pay for return coaches as we have done for Barnsley, then again knowing how tight northerners are I doubt it.
Just arrived back home having reached Leicester Services before we heard the decision.
First thought was " The Massive really don't want to play this..." but then wondered whether I was being too cynical. Echoes of the Newcastle postponement in the snow.
Oh well, £40 worth of petrol down the drain ( along with all that feckin' rain!) but more concerned about how the gaffer will deal with yet another midweeker on our already crowded schedule.
If it's not re-arranged for the coming week, I'd expect to see a Friendly arranged ASAP to give all concerned a game.
It's not too bad in Sheffield now, mostly very windy with light rain, but at 1:30 it was throwing it down, even some snow coming down on the hills within 5 miles of Hillsborough. No way was it ever going to be on. Feel sorry for those who traveled.
Pitch not covered all week, Wednesday knew forcast for Thursday & Friday, 300 mile round trip for nothing, we took flack for the Barnsley fiasco, hope Sheffield get the same -PATHETIC, fans treated like shit........

Bit different, because Charlton get an equal share of the ticket revenue from the FA Cup. The club would have made a substantial profit on today's coaches - they should now refund the fares, which has been policy for postponed away games since the club took over away coach travel. Wouldn't expect them to pay the full hire charge, either.
So in the next round we could get anyone of Sunderland, Wigan , Forest or Sheff Utd, Brighton or Hull any of them at home is winnable and away a chance
Or very slim chance against Everton or Swansea
And no chance against Man City or Chelsea and Arsenal or Liverpool
1) I booked a weekend in York, and planned to see the leeds game 2) after we drew Wednesday in the cup worked out an itinerary involving a brief stay in leeds, the Wednesday game and drinks afterwards with friends in Sheffield 3) as per 2, but with no game, and more drinking...

Probably got more chance of beating Sunderland away. They seem to be playing better away from home, at the moment.
Fans COULD have been warned on Friday night.. Poor treatment of fans.. Not sure who to point a finger at.. Clattenburg, Wednesday or the FA .. Too late anyway - was looking forward to the noise of 2000 today :-(
I think we need to start bringing next season's Championship games forward, so we can start playing them now. Otherwise, at this rate, we won't get next season's games finished either.
FA Cup 4th round replay at Sheffield United 1992, on a coach which blew a tyre at about J15 M1 - the coach was old and didnt even have a radio fitted (very unusual), the repair was made at about 7.30pm, no mobile phones, no radio on board the coach a poll was taken on board do we turn round and go home or carry on to Sheffield. The decision was voted on to carry on - on the basis that IF the game went to extra time we would see all of that. We arrived about 9.30 with Charlton 3-0 down but did see our late goal in a 3-1 defeat. Completed the double of Sheffield FA Cup farces today ! Just need to draw Sheffield FC in the FA Cup 1st round next season, and something go wrong with that for the hat trick !
All bollocks teams should be fined heavily if they don't cover their pitches when they know it's gonna piss down. That includes us we are just as guilty. How all these teams can buy/loan loads of players but yet can't afford a cover is a joke. Yet again it's the fans that lose all their money and the clubs get away Scott free. Sick of it now.

I was on your coach the ob put us in their end and we ended up having a tear up with some who wanted a pop at us although it wasn't our fault and I think it was gatting who scored for us from a corner not long after getting in
We ended up dancing on the corner flag with ob and stewards chasing me as I dived into the away end losing a shoe
Great end to a cracking away day and we got our money back from betty and I won the scratchcard
I do believe it was the most theiving I ever saw at the service station on the way home with nearly all that coach eating strawberry or choc sundies at stupid o clock
Up early, 4 hours driving , bit of a waste of time, really hope it's on the telly as u can't make the rearranged fixture, I guess we know how Barnsley fans felt.
Wish they'd called it off on Friday, would have saved all the mucking about, but never going to happen.

Depressed of Dartford.
Another 300+ miles wasted.
Handy for the Wednesday injury list though.
Absolutely gutted the games been called off

I loved that night even with a shiner and 1 shoe
I also think it was something else not a puncture
