Got to North Greenwich. Thankfully was on a late train. Pissed off at the 45.00 burnt on train fares. Won't be able to do midweek for the re-arranged game.

If my knee wasn't so bad I would have gone to Burton. Ho hum..
  • Heard 10mins before we pulled into Sheffield.
Gutted but part and parcel of away fan life.
On the piss in Sheffield then. In the tap atm if any addicks want to join us.
  • Not having a serious go, as our pitch has been terrible to but im really surprised that they don't have a cover of some kind for the pitch, with how they talk up their club and ground.
  • We might even have a loan player by 25th...or is that wishful thinking?!
  • Gutted for those travelling and seen as we don't play for another week anyway, it doesn't make much difference to saving injuries and fitness recovery. Match practice would have been nice.

Still we are in the hat for the next round, where as 2 of Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool won't be.

But at least two of them will!

City away would be a fantastic incentive to win at Wednesday on Tuesday.
  • A proper club would hire a MacLeod cover for the pitch to prevent this sort of thing.

If we win the re arranged game we'll be playing a Tuesday game for the rest of the season. That's also hoping we don't get more heavy rain which could cause more postponements

Will not be allowed to play because not registered in time for the original clash

Wouldn't have happened at the valley.

    ;)
  • Nothing to do with SWFC being a bunch of thick Northerners?
  • Really sorry for those that travelled, on the bright side, we are in the hat for quarters, rearranged should be on tele
  • Sorry for any Addicks making or made the trip but in team terms I think it might help us. Bit longer for Piotr and Reza to settle with the possibility of a loan or two as well.

Because we are in a great position to throw stuff like that about aren't we?

Really sorry for those that made the trip and hopefully the weather's improved and at least that won't make the journey home any longer than necessary.
  • Spent 70 quid yesterday on a train. Absolutely fed up. One good thing I can get a refund on the 60 quid for tickets that I forgot!!

In the globe as can't check into the hotel till 2! Long day in a rainy Sheffield awaits.

    Oh well.
  • At the hotel we booked in Chesterfield. They are playing Torquay so we will have a drop of that and go in with the Torquay boot boys. Maybe get to meet Hells Bells.
  • Feel bad for everyone who went up there but other Yorkie clubs will be thinking 'what goes around comes around' I suppose. The draw will determine interest in the rearranged game I suspect.

  • Very disappointed. Only got as far as Enfield. Not sure we'll be able to make the replay :-(
  • Once more .. a pity for all those who were looking forward to (especially) a rare away trip and those, like me, who'd booked travel and/or accommodation

Couldve come in for Tea mate I am jct 25
  • Gutted got as far as north of Cambridge so not too bad, feel for all the others already up there pitch does look bad and surely they could have put a cover on it seeing weather forecast yesterday not surprised
  • Just got back in luckily stopped at 10.30 at Northampton services. 8 year old son is gutted, won't be able to make the rearranged. Thinking of driving down to Ebbsfleet, says their game is still on.
  • I certainly believe they were happy to have the game off with their injury list
  • I think we need to start bringing next season's Championship games forward, so we can start playing them now. Otherwise, at this rate, we won't get next season's games finished either.
  • Nice little trip up from Portsmouth only to hear the news on the A43. Luckily only 90 miles each way so got back at 12.30. Biggest disapointment will be that there will possibly only be 300 of us for the evening game which will likely be on TV
  • Good news is we are in the 6th round draw so we will know the path to Wembley.
But it's annoying if the Barnsley game is postponed since we need points on the board.
