The Charlton pitch has serious drainage problems. Hillsborough has no drainage problems. The situation is completely different. Where were the covers for this game ? Rotherham got their game on and they are just round the corner. I think Mandaric is looking for the best possible situation for the tie regarding injuries and getting the new loan players up to speed.

Thats football, the Massives should be honest about it. Trying to reflect back to the Charlton situation, is not good as it is completely different.

How do you know we haven't got drainage problems? as it happens we have.

Covers wasn't needed on Friday, some rain was due but the forecast said it would die out on Sat.

    Clattenburg called it off.

Did men really land on the moon? I'll let you decide.
You've said it yourself there, if there was any inkling of rain why on earth would you not put the covers on? Not your fault obviously and I doubt the conspiracy theory, but that is a cock up from the groundsmen.

Our pitch is sh*t and is touch and go even in the dry. Yours could've been played on had the correct precautions been taken. That's my view of it.

    Lets move on eh?

Where would you like us to move on to?
  • Ha. Well I don't really understand why you're always on here anyways...
Find it baffling for someone to sign up to another teams forum? Like you have some sort of infatuation with us?

I know you're entitled to do, what you will. Fine. Just baffles me.

On Owlstalk, someone posted that they felt sorry for Charlton fans, not for having the game postponed but for having to go back to the "s***hole that we come from".
  • Haha. We were in a pub near the station, and sung the "I wanna go home" song, light bit of fun. The barman had a nibble and said, "Well you know where the station is..."

The bite was incredible. Made me laugh!

And you still haven't answered the question, as to why you are on another clubs forum!

I am simply curious. It really does baffle me. I just want to understand...

Are you on other forums as well as Wendies and here?

    Maybe.
  • Or maybe not.
  • Not gonna get a straight answer, so I'm not gonna bother!

Out of interest lifers, do any of you sign upto other forums and post regularly? If you do, can you enlighten me instead?
  • More like Carry On Columbus.
  • Agree

I don't post on, or read, any other forums but like to read oppo fans views, OP, sll and the fella from Watford are all ok imo

Agree, nothing wrong with other fans on here, if anything it's a testament to how good CL is.

  • Fair enough.

To me it's slightly odd. But all in all, I guess it's a good reflection on CL Gary

I maybe having a blonde moment but I assumed he meant the actual nathan.

    Could be wrong though.
  • Still hanging from yesterday :-/
  • Back in the day, we had a 12 hour drive to Port Vale only to find out it was off when we got there. No internet or mobile phones in those days. Now that really was something to be peed off about.

What car did you have ? A Sinclair C5 ?
  • Or a Citroen dolly?

That's what I thought. Oh well.
  • Not read through every post so may have been mentioned elsewhere ....
As there are no replays will this be on TV now? ?
Sure that BT or itv4 would have had a slot and budget put aside for a replay in one of the other games.

Good possibility but nobody knows for sure, depends on several factors like what happens in the Brighton v Hull tie tonight and ITV coverage of the Champions League. Various schools of thought can be found here

  • I have no luck with Sheffield:

2012 - Game on but trains buggered.

2014 - Game off but trains running perfectly.

Still- we pressed on to Sheffield anyway as we were meeting friends up there and decided to make a day of it. Had fish & chips at their place then went to the Weston Park Natural History Museum which was a good diversion. Then back to our friends place for tea before heading back home on the original train we'd booked on.

Thing is, if it is the 25th, which looks likely, it'd have to be train up and coach home as I have a meeting starting at 2pm that I can't get out of. If I get out of that by 4 then maybe, just mabye, I'll make the game.

You may say forget it and get the refund but not when you're 100% for the season with a good chance of doing the lot!
