It's quiet in Reigate but really don't want to hit the M25 and find a storm... Oh what to do....

Its coming over very dark in Sidcup. To be honest, what the weather does between now 1-1.30 is pretty much irrelevant as the pitch will be covered till then.

    This

But if its a drainage issue then it's the water board beneath the pitch that's the issue and I don't think the cover will help much with that.
If this hadn't caused a problem when they inspected yesterday there is little chance that a few heavy showers will make much difference. The wind will blow any showers through very quickly and although raining hard in Sidcup it is already clearing in the distance.

  • Pretty windy in Kunming.

Mix of bright sunshine and occasional heavy rain and hailstones here in deepest Wokingham. Leaving soon so any bad stuff on the M3, M25 and A2 doesn't screw up my day. Forecast for God's own true land (yes, Charlton) is sunshine, lighter showers and strong wind until about 5pm. So the match will be fine but we'll get seriously pissed on getting back to cars etc.

So looking forward to the game, and seeing the new boys stuff Brum. COYAs!!!!!!!!!!!

Sun back out in Sidcup. I actually think the wind is going to be more of a problem. Will make the game a real lottery.

Proper storm, thunder & lightning, just passed through Bromley. But it only lasted about 15 mins. No doubt it's above Charlton now. The sun is now out !

HOWEVER, THE PITCH IS COVERED UNTIL 13.30 AND HAS BEEN COVERED FOR THE LAST 4 WEEKS !

The game must start & hopefully finish unless there is a large amount of rain after 13.30.

In SE London, Clouded over, got very dark with a clap of thunder but brightening up again now. Dark clouds heading in direction of the Valley. Hoping ground staff keeping covers on for the next half an hour to 45 mins at least.
  • Haha sun is back out... This match could be like a day at Wimbledon with play continuously being stopped to put the covers on ;-)

Did anyone see the news report about the flooding in Bridge nr. Canterbury. The water table is so high that people's house are being flooded from underground springs. The water was bubbling up through the roads. Crazy weather.
