I'm just wondering if samhall1986 is going to leave the house today. There's so much danger out there.

It looked terrible, but I actually thought it played ok. Ball was running ok.

If our much maligned ground staff can get that slag heap to play like that, imagine what they will be able to do once a decent pitch is laid, the drainage sorted and they are given the tools to do their jobs properly.

  • Could have been worse. This is Hertford's pitch:

Danny Green still wouldn't be able to float a corner over.
  • He would have a chance if he came on as a sub! (Just getting my coat......)
  • Looking for an article on the Thames barrier I brought up the site and it gives a recent satellite pic. I do not know how recent except it is 2014. Looking at the Valley you can see how bad the pitch is
  • Let's hope the covers are on as more rain is predicted over night.
  • Could be heavy rain before kick off and during as well!
  • Did we buy the dome or did we rent it? If we rented it do we still have it?

  • Rented at 20k a week

    Still?
  • I presume the water table has gone down a bit in the last few weeks. If so, don't we just need to cover the muddy bit and all will be well.
  • It looked like we had actually watered it before last Tuesday's game!
  • Looked to me like it had been watered before the last 2 home games.
