Then again got a flag from Shine166 for putting up a list of January transfers. OK not everyone cares who we've signed but seemed a bit OTT especially as it got about 25 likes too.
Would it be okay for me to flag someone for moaning that they got a flag? ;o)
I wasn't moaning. Far outweighed by my promotes, likes and LOLs : - )
What sort of loser knows how many flags, likes and LOLs they've got?
Do we know of any Pitch Inspection,s schedule for either Friday or early Saturday? so as not to have the same as the last home game when it was called off at 1.30.I hope the club will think of the supporters of have to travel from a distance so they do not waste money and time.

Derek, the pitch has been covered for weeks. Don't you read the thread before posting ?
The lady was very helpful and said that there is a pitch inspection tomorrow afternoon.
Apparantly the cover stays on the pitch until 1pm Saturday.
With rain forecast for Saturday it shall be interesting to see how the pitch stands up................assuming it passes the pitch inspection of course!
Outlook for Saturday to Monday Heavy blustery showers on Saturday and Sunday with strong winds or gales. Winds easing later on Sunday. Drier, brighter on Monday with lighter winds. Frosty Monday night.
I thought after the last fiasco there was an agreement with the Club about how future games were to be handled. If there is an inspection tomorrow should we not be informed of such?

You have been
By whom though, not the Club, at least not directly. If a fan hadn't rung up and reported it here we wouldn't have known.
If this is off then we have real problems. May be not a good time then to have a cup run. Should we overcome Wednesday in the cup then the game at home to Watford will be be postponed. Saturday football at The Valley is becoming a thing of the past ! We could find ourselves with a real logjam of fixtures should it ever stop raining. The weather seems to be matching our season perfectly.........it never rains but it pours
The match won't be postponed. The Club have done more than enough to prevent this happening.
However, once the covers are off, the pitch could be subject to almost 4 hours of constant rain. In these circumstances, the chances of an abandoment are surely quite high.
The way I see it is thht the pitch will be playable at 1-30 on Saturday because that is when the Dome will be removed (see NW Corner's pictures on page one of this thread). If an inspection takes place tomorrow it will be passed fit as it has been covered from the worst elements. If we get the weather as promised on Saturday then there could well be a problem, and the match offical will make the call. By the way it has not stopped raining all day in South East London. Personally I do not think the game will go ahead, I hope it does because I am missing my football fix.
The game will start, however will it finish is a different matter, it all depends on how much rains falls during the game and how the pitch copes with it. It's a good job we are away to the Wendies next week, if we were at home, we would be guaranteed to a ball in the next round draw, as a week might not be long enough for the pitch to recover.

This time it should have been covered for nearly 4 weeks.
The game must start unless there is a deluge after the covers are taken off, at hopefully about 13.00 on Saturday.
The danger is the amount of rainfall between 13.00 & 17.00.
It still looks like light rain to me or even no rain, so I'm optimistic.
Having said that I didn't envisage a problem last time :-)
