The reality check is that its the first defeat for a while.
However, I think there are a number of serious debates to be had over the next few days. Hope everyone can make the effort.to articulate their various views in an adult way.
As always, look forward to hearing from those there

RD on the off chance you are reading this PLEASE send us your best man from SL now and prove to us that Charlton are your jewell in the crown.
We never expected a win, the team sounded like they gave it a go. Lacked quality in the final third for a change.
The two new lads sounded like they did ok. Thuram should have done better for the goal but made a number of top saves. Harriott sounded hungry again, maybe sitting in the stands watching Stewart has given him the kick up the arse he needed.
Not much has changed really. We need a striker and a better rm.
Deal with the problem roland!
No goals again. Very little threat again. Unless we unearth a cheap Gem to play upfront and score some goals the end result is inevitable.
Just don't see RD splashing any money on perm signings.
Games have followed the hoofball, no goals pattern too many times thia season.
Only positive sounds like Thuram recovered from the error for the goal.
Doubt RD will be getting any positive feedback at the moment and suspect CP is on borrowed time.
Desperately need some backing in this window. Few injuries and we wouldn't stand a chance currently.
Bolton and Birmingham about to be dragged into the battle at the bottom.
We have a reasonable goal difference compared to others, and rarely lose by more than one.
We are not going down.
I am yet to be convinced by this conglomerate of largely mediocre teams that we seem to be part of - the potential is that by the time RD has figured out what to do with us, it could be too late & I really doubt that Standard Liege reserves & youth team players are going to get us out of the quagmire that is L1.
Need investment in the team now & for god sake get those contracts signed so the staff & key players have a little stability to build upon.
I have to admit now that I am worried. I can't quite put my finger on what the crux of it is but I have a bad feeling.
I have nothing against our new owner. I appreciate him coming in and buying the club. There just seems a real air of despondency. The pitch, the lack of depth of the squad and a manager who I admire and respect greatly appearing to be more and more subdued.
Today's game and the manner of the defeat plus the fact the it is our seventh one nil loss of the season has given me a sense of foreboding.
Can anyone out there fill my glass a little?
Negatives: Wiggins loss will be a big blow, striking problems aren't about to miraculously disappear.
At the risk of stating the bleeding obvious, we need to add to the squad quickly.
Didn't realistically expect anything from this one but we need to start winning our home games.
To find out 'everything we need to know' I will wait for somebody who was there.
If RD doesn't trust Powell with any money, sack him and bring someone who he does trust.
We need a forward badly and I don't know what the problem is and why we haven't got one in.
10days to the next league game. Got time to find one. But something needs doing because time in the transfer window is running out.
SCP will have his work cut out to keep us out of the bottom 3 given our lack of ability to score goals.
On the face of it losing 1-0 at Boro is not the end of the world but we cannot win at home (inability to score again) so away draws and better are crucial for us if we are to survive.
Chickens are coming home to roost I fear!
Doesn't sound the worse performance in the world but powder puff up front and lack of creativity is gonna be our downfall unless there is quality fresh blood brought in
1 win in 10 games is the real worry and we're gonna need a proper signing/ loan or two to make the difference between safety and relegation
55% 13th-21st ......... 45% Relegation hell
Roland the first move is the contracts, the second is a striker.
