  • Im gonna post 3 things before i go and drink myself happy.

Jackson, brilliant in CM. He won so many tackles and tried so hard to get something from the game.
Button should not be getting beaten from that far out, it was a decent strike but not a worldie, poor keeping.
Harriott gives me hope, the kid looks bloody class!!
  • To put it into perspective if we had shown up today I for one would have had the short term memory to forgive a lot of the crap we have served up at home. We didn't and now I worry for the rest of the season. Still Leeds and Bolton to look forward to.....
  • Ohh annddd, Haynes should have learnt early that he cant outmuscle or outpace shittu!
  • Knee jerk central. People need to think before posting. Embarrasing. Think People ffs.

A lot of incredible knee jerk reactions on here.

I guess it's to be expected given the result and the opposition but there's a lot more to it. I'll elaborate when I don't have to sit on my phone tapping away.
  • We got beat, we can deal with it. Millwall can progress to safety in the division and look forward to their cup game, we have to lick our wounds yes, but be quitters? Do me a favour.
We played well enough first half, but we gave up after what I thought was poor goalkeeping from Button for their second.
I also thought in the incident that led to their keeper being treated by the goalpost that we should've had a clear penalty, but maybe that's just me.
Once again I have no complaints regarding all round effort, but football being what it is the ball didn't particularly break our way.
Not despairing here, but then again I'm old enough to have seen it all before.

Shame we ain't competing to get the likes of Kevin Phillips and Jermaine Easter at the club, we must be able to offer the same dough as Palace? Either that or we ain't got our finger on the pulse when it comes to quality cheap talent on the market...?

I'm guessing that our financial status is extremely dire and we need to loan out a few to get in one or two. Millwall have cash from a good cup run, Palace have new low-profile owners who are genuine fans, not carpetbaggers like our 'owners'. We'll be OK this season, but the close season ?? .. loads of work to be done and money needs to be found
  • Chris Powell and his love childs. Jackson gets over run pissed all over every game. Pritchard runs around a lot but no quality what so ever. Kermit gets sent off costs us 3 points and is allowed straight back into the team. Fucking joke.
  • We had two shots on target in the first half hour at least. Pritchard and Harriott drives.
  • We're a league 1 team (squad) that has just gained promotion. Powell is doing a good job when you balance our underachieving at home with our incredible over-achievements away from home. Today was more painful than most, but we weren't that bad, just lacked a bit of quality. When Norwich and Southampton came up they had more money and better players...don't expect too much.

So biased... Take a reality check. They were probably our two best players out there.

So was the manager saying he was embarrassed after the game knee jerk as well.

Pig sick of that club ALWAYS getting the upper hand on us.

    My summary
HOOF-YANN-NOTHING- repeat for 90 mins- Lose!

That also describes the tactics for the Forest game (even after Yann was sent off) and the Burnley game (when Yann wasn't even playing).

Is that three games at home without a decent shot on target or am I having a recurrent nightmare?

Stopped reading there as you clearly didn't watch the game. I'm not a big Jackson fan but he had a good game today.

Fuller did nothing in Yann's absence to keep him out though. Also thought pritchard was our mom, including a great defence splitting ball in the second half. Disappointed Button got beaten by a free kick that far out. We need to get Stephens back in for a touch of guile.

  • Watched it on a stream, from what i saw we lacked any real quality upfront and need to get a decent goalscorer in although their first goal could have been stopped the free kick was a steamer no stopping that although i would get Hamer back in the goal.

How many scum went up in the charlton ends after their first and second goals?

  • Anyone telling Powell to fuck off can, themselves, fuck off.
  • i think that only Portsmouth & Bury - 23rd & 24th in L1 have a poorer home record than us in the 3 divisions on or around 37 games
  • poor performance even worse result, how can the club expect fans to spend more on season tickets next year if we can only win 4 in 19 at home. embarrassing.

In terms of 'incidents'. There seemed to be something up with Haynes when he was subbed, got involved with somebody around about halfway, and the obligatory kicking the dugout just after. not a big deal but something.
In my part of the east stand after Millwall scored two pretty ordinary looking blokes about 60 were harangued by some of our fans and told in various ways to leave. I think some stewards got involved, no big deal I thought, maybe the two mature blokes gave it large after the goal, I wasn't particularly aware of it.
  • Powell is clueless when things don't work and he does not know how to change formation or players.

Jackett made changes which had immediate impact, everyone saw that Haynes , Kerm, Wilson were off their game. But still he kept them until it was far too late. We even had a sub to spare at the end. What a joke, it was the same v Palarse and Brighton.

Tactically Powell is at League One level, so are most of the players...except Solly, Stevens, Fuller. I suspect that we will be back in L1 very soon.

Who the hell would want to renew their season ticket and put up with such shit? Not me so won't be renewing after 10 years. I'll pay as you go as their will be plenty of empty seats next season so I won't waste my money

Well surely any that showed themselves in Home areas must have got a good kicking as promised by so many tough nuts on here for the past 2 months?
  • Biggest difference was defence. Their first goal was a joke. Surely Powell tells Morrison and Taylor to mark the player in the box and not ball watch. Solly had a poor game and Wiggins was worse.
Our midfield was better but lacked creativity. Wilson was poor.
    Harriot was our best player.
Kerms was poor, Haynes service was non existent.
Fuller has proven to be a poor signing. Doesn't seem bothered.
Finally have to say Jacket out managed Powell.
Not sure why Stephens didn't play?
  • Dont normally comment after games but - Remember and renew your season tickets at a 20% cost increase.

We had one real chance, a borderline open goal from 3 yards out that was missed, 50 seconds later they took their chance. Then they took another chance that wasnt even there. 2-0 and its all over. I understand why in frustration many would criticise Powell, but in the cold light of day, which manager could we realistically get in who will make players who on paper aren't very good play better than they are ? We'll stay up this year, just, but asking anymore (I.e derby game victories and decent Chanpionship campaigns) won't happen without investment.
  • 4 local derbies, 1 goal. And where's this Gower fella ? Commentating in New Zealand? If he's not fit don't sign a crock. Spanners sign 2 on loan and in they go and do a job.

  • Anyone telling Powell to fuck off can, themselves, fuck off.

    Is CP beyond reproach then?
