There is nothing to be positive about today. We couldnt beat a team that is shite and been in free fall for 2 months, played twice since us, pitch is horrendous, couldnt even sell out today, atmosphere crap and to top it all get treated like away fans by the club and the increasingly useless police "force".And we dont have a pot to piss in to get new players in.
Will put it down to a shocker of a day but there is nothing i see today to be positive about the game.
To be fair I thought up to they scored we did alright. However we fell apart thereafter.
Haynes (who I have always liked) was shit today, looked like he was shitting it whenever shittu got near him. We are 2-0 down he gets subbed, he stroles off as if we are 2-0 up, so perhaps as thick as shit as well!
A fan tells him to get off he turns on him & seems to want a fight, the guys a complete prick & if I never see him pull on a Charlton shirt again I wouldn't care. If he had shown as much passion on the pitch we might be talking about a different result.
I didn't think there was anything gutless about the performance-we mixed it and put in lots of tackles particularly the centre midfielders and, before they scored, I thought we were the marginally better side. After they scored however, we went to pieces though and that, coupled with our complete lack of any creative nous are the most worrying things for me at the moment.

So the previous problem with the team was that we had too many loan players. The answer to our problems now is to bring in more loan players. Have a got that right?
New players from anywhere would be nice
And I s'pose it at least gives reactionary short term memory fans a chance to revert back to blaming loanies and wanting just our own playing again no matter how good/bad they are when things don't improve.
Eh? I'm talking about our shit squad and needing to improve the quality by adding some decent loanies, frees or young players from the res/youth squads, what are you talking about? Something pro-active has gotta be done, don't you agree?
Ofcourse things need to improve but getting in loanies is not a guarantee as we should know better than most, just an easier more obvious option. Not too long ago fans were crying out for players to be brought in as our own weren't good enough. But as we lacked funds the quality of loanies didn't help. Same fans then start moaning we have too many loanies and we should always play our own players and then last season saying how it's clearly better not too have loanies. Now we struggling again and with limited funds it's back to "we need to bring in loanies as our players aren't good enough". It's a continuous circle of fans changing their minds, that's what I'm on about.
I must have been at a different game because I don't understand people saying Haynes lacked effort. We didn't look like scoring when he was substituted for that disinterested, unfit, waste of space Fuller.
Pritchard and jackson worked there bollocks off today.some of you on here aint got a clue.button is shit as is wilson.once again powell and his lack of subs or subs being too late cost us again

As soon as he saw Shittu bearing down on him he bottled out. He should be leaving Shittu kicking at thin air.
We dominated up until 60th min. Some of the best stuff we've played at home all season. Then they undeservedly score 2 and that's it, game over. Didn't know they had any fans there until they scored.

I think fuller has given up for the season and probably forever. If he is on a one year deal with the option of another year then he won't be back next season.
Terrible weather, Awful football, Poor Management, Tribal aggression, Drunken yobs being allowed to do what they wanted in the Lower North (never seen most of them before) Poor Stewards, Inept Policing,
Seriously wonder why I bother sometimes - This is supposed to be fun.
They had three decent chances, Hamer may have saved both goals. Shittu superb but we were better side even when 2 down. But we need tactical changes and more kids. Gomes? Smith? (Scored again) Azeez? Jordan?

Oh so it's all the fans fault?
The intention should always be to get the best players that money allows, if they end up being as shit as the bunch we've already got then the gamble hasn't paid off, but that shouldn't be a reason not to try surely....
Only made it half way through page 2 before posting. Some pathetic reactions. Yes we (inevitably) lost,, yes we weren't great. But all this "laughing stock of south london" bollocks is pathetic. Grow a pair and stop worrying about bragging rights. We'll stay up this year, which is good enough for me, and then I'll pray to God we're able to make some signings in the summer.
That said, Haynes was awful today, looked shit scared of Shittu all game. I may be being harsh but was Button even paying attention for that freekick? Seemed to take an hour to sail into the top corner and thought he really should have saved it. Great fixture to have your first real stinker.
Just for once I'd love to watch us play a shit team and NOT gift them what they don't deserve.
A lot depends on money of course. If we have to work within present, or less resources, we will continue to be worthy, but struggle. If that means staying solvent then OK by me. If Powell has any money to play with he will attempt to react to the home game pattern. Powell first arrived, but then put on a brave face as that season of Gary Docherty, Jose Semedo, Christian Dailly, Therry Racon et al petered out. Powell knew then he would need a significant close season in order to get better, and when he got the resources he reacted and we became champions. Powell can see whats going on, and he could do with a bit of support, either money to significantly freshen up the squad in the summer. Or if we have to cut our cloth, buy and sell on the cheap, and bring on the youngsters, then he will do that too and we should recognise and support that effort.. It isn't a credible position to say Powell doesn't have a clue, yeah it would be good to punch above our weight right now, but we are probably punching our weight, which is better than giving up and being a quitter. Powell is no quitter, and if he can, he will work very hard to improve things. If we stay up this season then it is manifestly a successful season even with our dreadful home form, cup form, and beatings by Crystal Palace and Millwall.
real mess at Wolves, sounds like Saunders has subbed Ikeme at half time because he made a big mistake in the 1st - wouldn't be so dramatic if Wolves hadn't already used 2 subs in the first half.....think Wolves are gone.
no wonder i didnt have any winners at Cheltenham this week!
People keep mentioning about pritchard and jackson working their socks off. I don't give a fucking shit about working your socks off or not, you need quality on the ball as well and as far as I'm aware neither have it. Please stop being so bloody clueless and notice that fucking effort can only get you so far. Every single week is effort this effort that. Its bullshit that's what it is
Before we condemn Haynes why did he react like that?
Everyone says its boring in the Upper West well the thermos's were flying today. Two Charlton families kicked out or masquerading as Charlton could not see, but lots of kerfufel!
As for the game, well you all know how crap we were after they scored.
We have seen the worst performances in the league this season (home record at least), something major needs to change.
Over the summer we need a complete rethink of home tactics and midfield personnel, because at the moment we don't even look like we're going to score at all in home games.
Shame we wasted so much money on Fuller, he's a non-factor in 99% of games.

End of rant.

No creativity to bring ourselves back into it but that's the story of the season. Not a single Charlton player bottled it today in my opinion.
So funny reading reactions a week after seeing entirely different opinions of Powell, Button, Haynes and the general ability of most players!
