Can I just say that when we play millwall next season, home and away, even if we have been taken over by a sugar daddy and are romping the league and they are rooted at the bottom ...
They will still get 4-6 points of us
It's got to be the most one sided derby in the football league, ridiculous, hence my 0-2 prediction.
I've still only seen us beat them once in 28 years
We're mid table during our first season since returning to the championship
What's the issue?
Mid table in terms of current position, but certainly not in terms of points. 12 points below the playoff positions. 5 points above the relegation places 8 points above bottom Derby, who have been on a bad run currently beating Leicester.
Signing Fuller in his twilight years is a waste of time unless we have a manager who can manage and motivate. Sorry, but at the moment I don't think CP can. Fuller the new Hasslebank. Haynes the new Clarke.
Sure I am mirroring alot of what has been said but oh well.
The main thing that pissed me off to no end today was the shocking standard of the passing, be it long, short, through ball etc it was absolute turd. The last third is where we look limp dick. Not enough players pulling the trigger when the goal is in their sights aswell.
Then you have the shooting at half chances, poor. Half chances in the box not being taken. Pritchard, Harriott and Fuller all guilty today.
Wilson, I have no idea what he brings to the team. He was utter rubbish, annoyed to see him come on the second half.
Jackson played well and was the stand out performer in the first half. Thought Taylor done well with his aerial battles and Solly had N'guessan in his back pocket.
Haynes, where to begin. Stay on side for a start. His speed is his asset to what did he do three times? Try and out muscle Shittu (who was excellent) which was never going to work.
Thought Forde for them played a good role as sweeper keeper too.
Also Harriott was so tricky you could see the whites in the eyes of the Millwall full back when he had him 1 on 1. Chapped Harriott down and Kerm nearly scored, why didn't he get the ball to run at players more?
Not wanting Powell to be sacked and I am worried. But I just want us to find 2 wins from somewhere and cross that line having survived and therefore a good season.......as for the Summer.....that appears to be another potentially gut wrenching experience in itself.

Fuller has at least made a contribution in games. JFH made a contribution by running the canteen staff into overtime.
I didn't go today because I have "done in my back" but I do however have a few comments to put forward. I think CP is still the man to take us forward but I can see why people are getting edgy with some of his decision making. For the life of me I cannot understand why Gower was not in the squad. He's not injured and was on the bench for a premiership side last Saturday. Having him in the side would go a long way to stoping us playing hoofball to Yann. Gower is very much a player who wants the ball and plays to feet. Our away record is decent and our home record abysmal because CP is as a tactician far too cautious. Works well away but at home we look completely a division below. This same cautious approach was I believe the reason for Gower being given a week to bed in. When you are desperate you have to take desperate measures. Jackett showed his experience with the inclusion of two loans straight into the team. He got the rewards. I think we are in for a very nervy end of season. I think well only just survive.
Let me say one thing about CP - when people quote how amazing he was last year.......So he bloody well should have been with the amount of money (in wages etc) that he was given to revamp the squad! Year 1 he was worse than Parky, Year 2 we all know what happened, but Parky was never given that kind of money. Powell was basically playing champ manager with the best players in league 1 and got the job done. And now this year we (imo) will be very lucky not to go down.
Please stop getting sentimental and at least look at things with logic. If he is the best man for the job, then great. But what he has done before as a player wont keep us up. Winning home games will.
Not having this with Haynes. Thought he played well.
Well he did get taken off, it would be a strange decision to sub him if he was playing well. I think Fuller came on for him and made Haynes contribution look gut busting. Fuller must have been told that this is his last few months with us.

The dumbest post of the year, Haynes has been brilliant bar today and fuller has scored some crucial goals also playing a big part in the Watford away win, comparing them to Clarke and JFH is stupid. Let me guess your a kermo lover? What did he do today part from pointless flick ons and flap his arms when he got bullied by there defence?
I'm a sick as can be after that but the muppets that are having a dig at Powell are worse than the brain deads that were in the Jimmy Seed today....get real This team are what they are and that is bottom half Championship material, they were before we kicked a ball this sason and they still are. What are these idiots blaming Chris for? not being up there in the play offs? OK muppets have a dig at him and when he's gone and a success elsewhere you will still be having a dig at the next bloke who is given two pennies to build a team on. At times i lose faith in it all because of the brain deads we have that call themselves supporters, can i suggest the idiots that cant see past the end of their own nose and have no grasp whatsoever of reality piss off, buy themselves a blue shirt and rent a hovel in the old kent road.
Oh dear just seen Goals Express which confirmed my thoughts from the NWQ. Button was nutmegged for the first one and took ages to get a flap on a 30 yarder (edit: nearer 40) for the the second. After a few flaps last week and being at fault for the equaliser at Pboro, bring back Hamer.

Outlay doesn't guarantee success otherwise QPR and Everton would be in opposite positions. What's wrong with being happy that we have somebody in charge who cares about the club and giving him the time and support to move us forward (as he has done so far)?

But if Parky couldn't get the best out of the players he himself brought in how could you expect CP to? Would you have given Parky money to spend having seen what he did with the playes he already had? I have a lot of respect for Parky but he failed with his players, CP then failed with Parky's players and succeeded with his own players. The money is largely irrelevent it's about getting the best from YOUR players and for me Parky wasn't doing that. If CP had gone after better players than the league 1 best, firstly most of them wouldn't come down to league 1 and secondly it would have meant a lot less players and an inability to completely change the squad which is what was needed at the time. Now CP's competing in the Championship with a mostly League 1 team, there's a reason they were in League 1 when we got them. Finally CP is an inexperienced manager, Parky wasn't.
Is CP making mistakes? Hell yeah, lots of them but then he's inexperienced and learning. When it was obvious there wouldn't be proper investment in the team then anyone who thought that this season was gonna be about anything else than just survival is in my opinion delusioned. And as said by others, if we we're in exactly the same position but with results reversed there wouldn't be nearly the same outcry.
Nolly, appreciate the post of the season comment. Finished my chinese and motoring through yet another bottle of wine but still struggling with some of the posts on here. We're skint, can't buy anyone fine, our players are lower to mid table, agreed. However, the attitude on the pitch and the tactics from the bench are clearly not good enough. That is a management issue. The sooner some of you accept that, the easier it will be to cope with the very real prospect of relegation. Maybe its not Powell, he takes advice from Dyer, get rid of him. Something has got to change. Without some sort of change our club could be royally fxxked.
This thread has made me realise our fans really are as bad as so many other's in modern football, we lost Curbs due to them, they got a decent guy in Parky sacked when he deserved a chance with some backing & now they are trying to get a club legend doing a good job of keeping us up under very difficult situation sacked, football is losing it's soul because of fans like you.

Curbs left cos murray dropped a bollock.
Parkinson got sacked because of awful results, whilst clearly good enough to get him the gig in the first place under the old guard, werent gonna cut it with the new lot.
We have a lot of idiots follow our club but they are the minority and can't blame days like today or shocking home form on us fans.

Well i would say the moaning culture that had spread among our fanbase caused Curbs to want to leave.
Parky got sacked due to the poisoness atmosphere from the fans which forced the new owners to make a decision to win back over those same so called "fans".
Now those same fans are doing the same thing to Chrissy and it makes me despair of the modern football fan.

Well said.
Sorry Nolly but the post above is better than Les Berry's Tash's.

What moaning culture? A few idiots phoning up radio stations and posting on message boards that Curbs had taken us as far as he could?
I doubt Curbishley would pay any more attention to them than I would. He said he'd see his contract out and murray didnt want that IIRC?
Then after giving him a relative pittance to run the club on gave a war chest to the likes of Dowie and Pardew to spunk on dross that saw us go from being hailed as a "model club" to losing to northwich victoria and not having enough petty cash to pay the tea lady for new tetleys in a few short seasons.
He stayed at West ham under much more vocal abuse and we had very little, if any thing to do with him going.
