Are we in the bottom three of the form table? (Last 6 games, say)
Form tables not yet updated after today's results but we were 7th before today (with 10 points). More likely to be 17th/18th (Leeds/Blackpool on 7 points) after today's result as we'll be replace a win and three points with a loss and no points.
So overall for the season we have 9 teams below us, and at least 6 teams who are currently performing worse than us. So looking at it in glass half empty terms we won't go down.
The only trouble is, our next two games to be "replaced" are also our only wins in the last six so in effect the best we can do is to maintain our position in the bottom third for the next week.
Im on a 9 game no loss streak of games i have attended and will be at the Valley next saturday, keep the faith lads. (not that i believe in nonsense like that) :-)
Bristol lost, Birmngham lost, Wolves and Bolton drew and so made a point on us. As regards Leicester Peterborough beat them last week and they are bottom. Come on, CP to stuff his old team on Tuesday, Kermogant to score a penalty. A soft one that trickles over the line like a tired slug...
The culture of blame on here is pathetic. Everything's always got to be the fault of one single specific person and they should always be made to pay for it. Hamer made a mistake but he's still a very good keeper. Possibly the best in the league. All this 'not good enough' guff is shameful. Players make mistakes, particularly goalkeepers, and it happens all over the pitch, it's just more noticeable when it happens to the keeper. Every time we lose it's 'drop Hamer', 'sack Powell', 'Jackson should never play for Charlton again'. Constantly blaming one individual for losing a team game a league up from where we were last year. The way some of you act you don't deserve to see the team win

Another game lost by the odd goal. Because we're still in games and still competeing I remain confident that our fortunes will turn again before the end of the season, there's still time for our fortunes to change more than once. Either way, i still think we`ll stay up relatively comfortably but the play-offs were always a pipe dream.
I kind of get why Powell keeps tweaking the starting XI. Firstly there`s a certain pressure to change things when you are losing. Secondly we don`t have the quality to impose our style on teams at this level so we have to make adjustments to try and match the opposition. Part of me is encouraged that CP is thinking tactically and is trying to do things differently - it`s a proactive approach that I like. He`s not always getting it right, but the closeness of our games suggests he`s usually at least making us tough to beat.
The problem is, are we tough not to lose to? Recent results suggest no. We don`t often create a lot of chances and when we do we miss them. That's a hard problem to fix without signings and quality attacking players cost a lot of money, money we don't have. Getting Haynes' pace back into the side will help, but can he stay fit?
We're in a bit of a viscous circle right now. The defence makes at least one silly error per game and they seem to always be punished right now. That puts pressure on the attack to always score to get at least a point, but the lack of goals also puts pressure on the defence because they know that one mistake could guarantee we'll drop points.
All that said, I thought the team selection today was a bit weird. I like Pritch but I didn't really get why Waggy was dropped. If he was determined to play Pritch, probably JJ should have made way, but the captain seems un-droppable. If he wanted to take Waggy out, Wiggins seemed the obvious replacement.
Hull also play 3-5-2. Against that usually you would either be conservative and match up with 3 in midfield (either 451 or 352) or go attacking and try to attack out wide with overlapping fullbacks and double up on their wingbacks so it seemed a strange game to go back to the winger-less 442 that served us so badly earlier in the season. Especially as CP supposedly said JJ would never play wide left again.
Just got to keep plugging away. There's sign anyone is being complacent as the team is still working hard to compete so there is no need to panic we're sleep walking into a relegation dog fight.
Not saying it is right or wrong - but I can see our board getting nervous and pulling the trigger on CP if we dont win either of our next two. Once again I am not saying either way what my view is, but that is a gut feel.
God, just realised I am terrified of ever saying a word against CP in case I get abused.
Hence the over the top arse covering post. Sorry about that.
I don't think it would take too much more for TJ to pull the trigger in my opinion. Not something I remotely want but I can't help but feel it is coming.
I don't know how the Board could blame Powell though. They've not exactly splashed the cash this season have they. This is the same team as last year with 1 addition in Fuller.
But we were told that last seasons players were bought as able to play and compete in the championship. We may not have signed too many but the loanees did not come cheap.
I'm not the biggest Wagstaff fan but what has he done wrong to be dropped. He has done well in every game since he come back. He was subbed off at Palace and Birmingham when 1-0 up and both games we went on to lose and draw. What must it do to his confidence.
Anyway sounded piss poor on the radio, didnt think we would ever get back into it even though we was only a goal down. Hopefully we are good enough to ground out a few more wins to keep us away from trouble.

This!
We are 10 places up the leagues from where we were last season and a draw would have put us top half. Rarely is there more than one goal in it.
All we need is a handful of wins ... with the first one coming asap.
Forest will be a pressure game but if you are going to moan then that game is not for you. The chairman has announced that the aim is to finish 8th - 11th and I expect the players and management know the risks of not achieving this!

Couldn't agree more. 'Drop Hamer' is as preposterous as it gets. We were playing second in the league away from home-hardly a disgrace.
TBH anything we got at Hull or Leicester would be a bonus. Agree we're not losing by much, but I do worry about the board. I think we need to be very vocal at the Forest game in support of the team and the manager.
aggree with Garrymanilow and WillJones26 last week Butland add a thread on here let in 4 today 1 was a howler fro from him will Brum drop him next game ?

Well we've only got 13 points from our last 13 games so this might not be as simple as you make it sound.
"DEATH AWAITS YOU ALL"
expecthope for a win!"We're off to Button moon! We'll follow Mr Spoon"
"No Waggy, no points"
I'll be at Leicester anyway.
