"They boarded a train at about ten to seven and the police say that as the journey progressed there were aggressive anti-Millwall and anti-Charlton songs"
Absolutely nailed on that this lot would be as quiet as mice whilst travelling to the Den on a saturday
There were no anti charlton songs. We haven't sung a single song about you guys for many many many years.
Terrorising innocent people on trains and turning up at Charlton Station 20 minutes or so before KO surrounded by the Met.
What ever you say Danny dyer. Same can be said for charlton destroying innocent residents property's and cars while they hid in their homes afraid. You must be so proud. Stop acting like a wanna be thug and grow up. I noticed a police escort for charlton on Saturday? To and from the game. Did you hire them?
As for the charlton arrests after Saturdays events very over the top. To print people's names and addresses when they have not been found guilty is disgusting. If they've destroyed people's property then fair enough, but over a flare and sniff? Shocking.

Escort for away fans is a common police tactic, for home fans it isn't.

away fans are usually escorted in derby games, especially at palace where away fans can cause a bit of trouble without any opposition as palace are looking for women and children.

Mate you said at the weekend you weren't going to come back on here unless Charlton were relegated or your bunch of tossers promoted. So justpiss off once and for all.
All I can say is that this mob of 100 Palace must have bought one way tickets to Charlton because after the game I`m pretty sure I saw them all getting in the back of those ambulances at the top by the cafe!

Was a valid point.
You've got well known previous for attacking innocent people on trains haven't you? And I've never seen any Palace around Charlton except directly before and after games.
And I don't think you understand this police escort buisness, common place for large groups of away fans to be escorted to the ground while the home support go about their usual business. You're the only support anyones ever heard of that need to hire the police to get them to their own ground safely.
How do you manage to pick up an escort going to Charlton or Palace? Whenever I've been to either ground there hasn't been an escort.
I saw at Lewisham station just after 11am there were about 15 Charlton on the platform drinking, not wearing colours, but already with 4 or 5 old bill, how did they manage to get collared so early?

I think the police in SE25 have a Thesaurus of their own making with the definition of "escort" being " Preventing exiting football fans from making their way home in a peaceful and law abiding manner by excess use of resources, intimidating behaviour and a worrying lack of common sense"
A quick look on Facebook will tell you Alex Kingshott is definitely a Palace fan.
Had a bit of sympathy when the name was released given that the offence would only normally warrant a caution-after looking at his FB page, I'm hoping the old bill decide to make a big example of him..................
SLL - Was over a hundred Charlton in Penge from 11 who avoided the police until about half one when half the Met turned up.
I was in the Moon and Stars in Penge from 10am. I live close by (Beckenham borders if you believe the estate agent.) Anyway, from about 11am lots of our lot began filing in, just drinking and chatting as normal pre match. I left to move onto a pub in Crystal Palace at 1145am and as the bus passed another pub on Penge high street (The Crooked Billet, a complete crap hole) , there were two Plod vans outside. I don't know who was drinking in there but all our faces seemed to be in the Moon and Stars when I left and Plod had no idea. Seemingly from what you are saying it took hours for them to realise where our lads were....200 yards away.

Makes sense mate as that had a few of ours in at one point aswell before everyone moved on. Not sure how true but was a rumour a couple of Palace turned up for a look just after?

That sounds about right, palace going for a nose when you've already been moved on!

The only Palace fans were a few in there in colours just minding their own business. As I said, I left as our lads were still arriving. The Bridge Tavern outside Penge West had lots of blokes outside it too as I went past. More of our lot I guess. I don't know if away fans use Penge pubs pre Palace usually or not. I'm at the Valley when it would be happening as our home games are at the same time as theirs.

i take it you don't travel to away games much.

You're a joke club.

I'd imagine theres normally ob at London Bridge for our home games who'll pick up 'high risk' groups?
