  • What part of the post Di

FFS its a South London derby with a lot of history. Why is everyone going over the top again. No wonder other fans take the micky out of us. so a few lads had a few shandies and went over the top. It really is pathetic

Leading contender so far in 2013 for most moronic post.

Moronic post??? Righto.Tell you what for the next game when we play them why don't you suggest selling the two club scarfs with Charlton on one half and Palace on the other .Go back to 2007 and ask the dads and kids how they felt about being attacked on a train. The best thing is on their site they haven't said much about it. Also ask yourself would you really leave the car parked outside in the knowledge that 2,000 away fans will be marching past. The irony .
Trying to make some sense of your reply but anyway. What happened in 2007 was was a cowardly and vile act carried out by cowardly and vile people. I also consider the smashing of toilets, ripping out of seats, throwing coins, shouting foul abuse and the wanton vandalism of cars to be cowardly and vile. Maybe not quite as cowardly and vile as what happened on that train in 2007 but nevertheless dispicable acts of cowardice. Never mind all this get it into perspective, it's a local derby bollocks. If it was up to me I would ban them all from all football grounds for life.

What part of the post didn't you get and i will try and help you out.
Didn't quite catch on to all that about scarfs ?

The plastic fans that wear scarfs in which they have bought on the day with both clubs names and colours on.
Ok I get it. I'm out of this thread now. I've said my bit.

  • WIWALB - Just to clarify then. If someone comes round your house & smashes up your toilet, smashes up your setee, throws coins at you & trashes your car, you're ok with that ?

    Pathetic. Another left wing comment.
  • Why not just ban all cafc fans away to Millwall and Palace, saves all the aggro of having all these silly threads on how to string up our own. This type of behaviour happens all around the country on derby days and always will be, Nothing will ever change it.
  • I'm not condoning anything but if the valley gold bovril drinkers had taken there first option on the tickets every ticket would have been sold and they could have all sat in the Arthur Waite on Saturday. So the point is its those people that don't ever go away

    At least condemn it ?

  • I have had a season ticket for the last few seasons but I probably won't be renewing next year as I have missed too many games this season due to the distance. By the time I include petrol money and beer money it works out too expensive to go to every game. But why should my choice be taken away because of some probably non Charlton fans who are only out to cause trouble?

I agree, it will be harsh on many of our good supporters, who don't want to cause trouble.
What is a better alternative ?
    Castration ?

Of course I dont agree with the behaviour just think its never going to be stopped.
  • Hope some of these on here never do jury service. You would be convicted even before the charge has been read. Thank Christ they wouldn't be passing down sentence.
  • Hang everyone. And if it happens again dig them up and hang em again.

Done it and found the defendant not guilty.

  • Every one should stop eating meat. Since I gave up the flesh I've become proper meek and mild.

Thought you were suggesting that I was part of the hang em brigade because I think vandals are moronic arseholes.

Please reframe from using the arsehole word on here. It can carry a five year sentence .
  • How about no, jesus christ we've done much worse at Palace away. I'm not condoning mindless violence but that's the nature of derby games, and I'm fucking certain we're not the only club effected by this.

  • Move away games against Palace to the moon.

More atmosphere up there than at Selhurst as well.
  • Suggestion 1

Future flashpoint games against the likes of Millwall & Palace away should be S/T & Valley Gold only, 1 per person.
This should stop the majority of trouble as I would guess, most of the trouble was caused by non S/T holders, whether they were Charlton supporters or their mates who support other clubs.

I have no doubt anyone that is not a S/T holder will strongly disagree, but that's the consequence of having tickets going on general sale & S/T holders giving tickets to their mates, when you can purchase more than one each.

I'm only suggesting this for the "flashpoint" games.

IE Fulham A we took 7000 ? & no real problems, as Fulham aren't known for trouble, so the troublemakers didn't want to go.

To your first point I disagree, as some people may have work,or can't afford a S/T
"this should stop the majority of trouble as I would guess" < true it really is a "guess"
No real problems at fulham "aren't known for trouble " << not neccassirly the case, it could be the fact that it's fulham, local and the "premier league" fans wanted to come back , as they do for cheap ticket days, and these type of fixtures .
  • Had a few run ins with fulham to my knowldege
  • People wonder why palace and millwall slate us calling us anoraks and clowns, take away the fans lose the support. A lot of us can't have season tickets due to work commitments, the solution is simple, cause vandalism/rows get punished, simple. Charlton till I die
  • Bring back public floggings , i'll bring the eggs & rotten fruit.

Did you not see what came of them boats?? I'm not saying there was trouble but there was more of a Charlton turnout at that game than most and most are home regulars and at a fair few aways.
    You're talking rubbish mate.

    Embarassing thread.
  • Trouble is always going to occur, especially at a derby - does that mean we should condone it - no, but restricting tickets for the majority of people is a ridiculous suggestion and ultimately ain't for us to regulate .... We need passion and we need support, we don't need the aggro but it is going to happen 1% of the time....get over it .if you want to put a cape on and be a vigilante then do it, but don't restrict other people from going games as a result
  • And i thought it was only me that made moronic quotes

    No. But mainly you.
