Ah Paul Hart taking over as manager and Powelly as his number 2. Quality stuff. At least this day wasn't a complete loss.
My main worry is that I really wasn't that upset when they took the lead as I'd been saying to my dad that it was on. We didn't take our chances and Palace were pressuring us more and more. 1-0 isn't enough and we need more goals coming from our midfield. The likes of Pritch and Lawrie need to chip in more or this will keep happening. Oh well
Right then. Listen up. I've got to get this off my chest.
I have supported Charlton since 1957. I will continue, as I have done in whatever division they are in. I have been through Charlton's ups and downs. I support the banner at the top of the home page - I think it refers to the club.
I will now cut to the chase: That's now the second game we have lost after taking the lead. I think now Paul Hart should become what he was perhaps brought in to do if things didn't work out - be manager. SCP can if he wants, become his No. 2. (Almost everyone has said he is still learning - we may be running out of time). If something is not at the end of the season I think "The Red, Red, Robin" can be scrapped and we will run out to "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life".
Thanks for listening - cue abuse!
Bit over the top. Frustration is talking here IMO.
We have the weakest side in SE London at the moment, but are still the biggest club! Under 15k home for a London derby when you're in sight of promotion to the Prem is pathetic!
I wasn't there & didn't listen to any commentary so can somebody kindly fill me in re the 2 or 3 missed chances that everyone is going on about - were they 6 yard sitters or 20 yarders that went wide ???
"hard work and effort can only get you so far" and at the moment it's not getting us to the finishing line, these last two matches we've got ourselves in great positions to pick up points but the lack of overall quality is costing us a predictable result because they are better than us (unfortunately) definitely looking down and not up in the table , we have a lack of quality and are capable of not winning for a long time
0% top six ............... 30% 7th-12th ....... 60% 13th-21st ....... 10% drop me out

The second game !!!
Oh no!
Lets change everything right away, that works, just look at Chelsea.
First half we were solid second half we melted and yet we missed enough chances to have wrapped up the game
I've had enough of slagging off hamer, he cost us the game yet again and for once we have a decent back up in button, but no way will Powell change him
Frustrating but at the endof the day we are a midtable side
As usual over there the support was superb only noise I heard from them was a drum

Perhaps. But I am getting on in years - I don't want to go back to League 1 or hear that aweful song again. Cue whistle! lol.
I've learnt the Curbishley way. Don't let highs be too high, and lows be too low. It's not worth it. It's all short term emotions. If we win next week people will start talking about an outside chance of the play offs. Relax and have a curry.
Wasn't there so can't comment with any authority. Only three instinctive comments:
1. Didn't agree with leaving Stephens out. Wonder if we might have been further ahead at half time had he played?
2. Not jumping on the subs bandwagon but bringing on Wiggy for his first game in goodness knows how long when we were totally under the cosh seems a bit foolhardy.
3. Looking at the two squad lists, they are better than us. Simples.
We move on. More lessons learned the hard way. I'm not slitting my wrists
That was nothing like a relegation performance from nothing like a relegation team. The Palarse fan is talking more sense than some on here.
Ditto.
Yeah we are too good to go down. Problem is I've heard that many times over the years about many teams.
Not too good to go down, but not bad enough to.
I think the only thing that will keeep us up is that we aren't getting trounced and our goal difference is pretty good. I'm usually more concerned that we don't score enough goals, but in this insistance the reason why I think we will stay up (just) is that we don't conceed loads.
Missed chances and then we didn't react to their changes. Frustrating again, Yann sat on the bench after the game obviously disappointed he didn't get more game time. Also didn't agree with Stephens being left out

Have had the shittiest day you could imagine. Football is so insignificant, how people can get so angry over a game I just don't get anymore.
pig in shit. Gutted though.

Powell out thought by the oppo manager again. Didn't react to the Palace change of formation until it was too late.
Our second half tactic seemed to be hoof it away from goal and sit on our 18 yard line. Fuller was screaming at the team to move up.
Palace improved second half, but rather worryingly we had players who looked dead on their feet at 70mins and we left them on.
Midfield had an extra man but couldn't win us any ball and when we did have it we gave it away.
didn't follow on here

We were carved open for both goals and as far as I could see had no chance with goals.
