  • As I see it handball on the line is a sending off. It denied us a goal. Though we and the noisiest part of the home crowd were all too far away to see it. The ref did well not to succumb to the intimidation from the crowd baying for him to even up the numbers. Hulse was sandwiched and was not at fault for the alleged elbow. I really like what I see with Hulse. Hard work, intelligence and more than a touch of class. Eggy didn't look like the midfield saviour though.

As others have said this was not an attractive game or one of our best performances. Why the he'll we don't keep it on the floor when we look superior doing that I just don't know but if you are listening Chrissy please tell em! The ball spent FAR too much time in the sky today.
  • Would never happen but the fairest punishment is to give a penalty and defer the sending off. If they score- booking - if they miss sending off. Like I said, would never happen but if Burnley player wasn't sent off an injustice would gave occured- only thing ref could do.
  • Burnley have appealled the red - would be surprised if he is let off.

Standing on the line, he prevented a certain goal by moving his arm.

What part of that do Burnley not understand?

He has absolutely no chance of being let off - will be interesting to see what the league does - the word frivolous springs to mind. I don't think he moved his arm much but the pace of the ball meant it was easy enough to get arm out of the way and allow a goal - he chose not to!

    It's been turned down.

    Stick that in your pipes!
  • i think his arm was beside his side and he didn't move it , ball to hand ....
  • He could have moved it out of the way - handball
