My excellent source within the game tells me that the club has engaged a professional sports recruitment agency to help it fill new senior management team positions at The Valley. The posts will all report to the "non-executive" executive vice chairman Part-time Prothero and are chief operating officer - essentially overlapping Mick Everett's job, chief finance officer - likely to be offered to current head of finance David Joyes if he chooses to stay, and chief marketing officer, recruitment of which is being mysteriously held up for process reasons.
This will replace the existing SMT, seemingly downgrading the current senior roles of Dave Archer, Paul Ellison and Matt Wright, and putting Mick Everett's future at the club in apparent doubt. No consultation has taken place with affected staff at The Valley as far as I am aware and it is not clear whether current staff will be given the opportunity to apply for the operating and marketing roles, as appears to be required by law.

Here we go again people...
However my understanding is that technically it is the JOB rather than the individual which is made redundant. At first sight they just seem to be ascribing a different title to Mick Everett's job.
If they were to remove him under that circumstance then legally I think they could be on a sticky wicket as the job hasn't really gone at all.
Maybe I've missed something but getting people on board is a good thing right? Signs of progress maybe?
On second thoughts shouldn't have said that.....
Maybe its to help hide the news
In my experience this usually means they are building on current successes and are planning further growth.
This is obviously not good news for the individuals Airman speaks of, but it does mean that something is going on behind the scenes that (hopefully) is likely to benefit the football club.
It will be interesting to see the next steps that TJ and co take.
He said going to Charlton had to come first.
