Can someone help me a bit, as I only have time to dip in and out of here and not read 1000+ post long threads - what are these massive issues we're apparently having?
I might still be on last season and people coming out and saying the right things, but my thoughts were the owners werre in it for the money but seemed to be going the 'make them successful and we can make more TV money and a profit' way of doing things?
FFS. All of you stop sniping at each other. Kiwi, NSS, Rothko. Mike, the lot of you.
It does nothing to help and its energy being wasted on the wrong target.
It seems that on Monday some money went in but only enough to ease the immediate problem not solve the problem.
So;
Either you are part of the solution or you are part of the problem.
So stop blaming and start thinking about what YOU are going to contribute, be that time, skills, money, connections or all four.
Stupid observation probably. If some money went in on Monday then why? Why ease the immediate problem when it's all over, isn't that good money after bad? Does it mean that somebody somewhere is striving for us to survive, and thinks we will? What state we will be in if we do survive this is anybodys guess, but whatever the difficulties we should also be planning how we will cope. I have written above regarding my thoughts about the task ahead when we start playing again, lets focus on trying to make a little go a long way when the season starts.
I swore that I wasnt going to post on this thread and this will be my only post.
I'm not going into how I know what I'm going to say, but I am 100% certain it is true.
Scabbyhorse is more or less on the money. If a certain person is removed from the equation we will receive the money we require to operate and move forward.
If the person remains who knows what might happen.
We are really going to miss him. Good luck Clarke! ;-)
I am not too panicked by the current situation over funding, if it comes to it I am confident we could find new backers now we are back in the Championship.
We have all the infrastructure set up to be a Premiership club, both on and off the field, and are in a boom part of London, so I am still confident on the future.
The current owners focus on youth development does fascinate me, it suggests a long term vision at odds with their seemingly shorter term cash out plan when or if we get to the Premiership.
Ah but is he the type of guy to realise the situation and walk, or is he the type to sit tight and refuse to budge even if it brings the club crashing down around him, just to prove a point?
We have 7 days until our first reasonable opportunity to start trying to do something about it. The question is though how to turn this from a minority view into a mainstream view. How exactly can we do that when there is such a trickle of information?
Right, say we get him out, what then? Cash magically turns around and lives up to his name because *everyone knows who* is gone?
This is not meant to antagonise, I want him out but want to know how much it solves.
I'm asking myself exactly the same question. My understanding is that Cash has fecked off because he was sold optimistic numbers in the first place. So getting rid of EKW may not, probably won't, bring him back. But there might be others who would step in, but think EKW is a knob. We are at least in the Champ with a decent stadium and squad.
What I dont understand is if the problem is person X then why cant the other owners/ directors pass a resolution to jog X on down the road or even come to some sort of financial agreement to get X to move on.
As I understand it without the cash backing X doesn't have real financial clout to get the club in a viable postion to benefit getting involved in the first place.
Cant see what X has to gain by hanging round to prove a point if by being obstructive is hindering prospects of seeing a return on time and financial investment up til now.

If there is a desperate "owner" who is sinking fast, then waiting for them to die a slow death and in doing so inflict longer term damage aka Jordan may be the worst outcome of all. Those looking to force the issue are in my opinion fully justified given the source of those ringing the alarm bell.
He brought a welcome touch of levity and humour to proceedings from what I read of him.
really , yeah maybe for1,2 or even 3 posts but he was a proper borefoff.com eventually adding the same old chuff that was funny first time round but not the umpteenth time
What do we do. Do we sit and wait and hope others are working in our interest or do we try and force this issue and risk making it worse?
Just feels wrong to sit and fester doesn't it? Don't know the answer, I'm hoping that someone who does know will suggest what we might usefully be able to do.

Pure speculation of course but if that is the case would hope X would come to his senses.
I don't want to have to read through all 7 pages of this.
