Binge watched Our Friends in the North (box set) this week ... no idea how I missed it when it first came out in the 90’s.
Terrific drama and more or less kick-started the careers of the four main characters, Christopher Eccleston, Mark Strong, Daniel Craig, and Gina McKee.
Superb supporting actors including Alun Armstrong, Peter Vaughan, Malcolm McDowell, David Bradley, Tony Haygarth, and Julian Fellowes.
I was able to watch that when it came out, but I certainly didn't remember he was in it! Or those other well known names in support roles.
Everyone still remembers Bleasdale's Liverpool based dramas, and this one gets overlooked a bit.

Mark Strong is quietly superb in almost everything I’ve seen him in. Great actor.
Based on recommendations here (and, bizarrely, from Patrick Valence on TV), me and Mrs Charente are screaming through Spiral at the rate of knots, now one of my all time favourites.
Any comedy recommendations? Just blasted my way through Superstore - looking for something with 20 minute episodes on netflix/prime/terrestrial
Is superstore any good? I started watching a while ago and got through about half an episode. Thought it was dreadful. Should I have given it a chance?
Anyone who hasn't seen it I can't recommend the office highly enough
Dwight Kurt Schrute became my TV hero way back. The first 2 series mirror the UK office and whilst it had its very very funny moments it doesn't hit its stride until series 3 when they do their own thing and it hits the stratosphere and becomes possibly my favourite comedy.
I cant imagine there are many people left who haven't seen it but if there are jump aboard

As others have said, Veep is fantastic if you are a fan of the Thick of It. One of my top 10 comedies of all time. Going by the first season Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also good fun

It’s not life changing, but it’s enjoyable nonsense. Has become my “falling asleep” show.
Onto season 4 of Gomorra now (definitely hit a falling asleep show!), about five episodes in and I’m worried that it’s gone off the tracks a little bit. There’s an episode shot in London that’s a good, pretty much stand alone, story similar to the series 3 episode set in Bulgaria.
'This Fishing Life' on BBC .. NOT about Grimsby but Cornwall .. tough way to make a living, but very lucrative when it goes well
Ended up watching most of this series and grown to really enjoy it, not sure what it is that's charming about it, maybe as I spent a lot of holidays in Devon and Cornwall and my parents would take(drag) me to places like Cadgwith but it's interesting to see real peoples lives in what is a tough way of living but seems very rewarding (when going well!)

Friday night dinner, i didn't really get into it when it was on the TV, or wasn't really drawn in. But i binged it last year and found it very easy to watch and enjoyed it. On Netflix

agree with this, I hate fishing (as a hobby) with a passion, but became hooked watching this - especially having visited most of the places
Framing Britney Spears is on Sky Documentaries tonight. It covers her rise to fame, career and subsequent breakdown. So many comments online about this since it aired in the states so I'm looking forward to watching it.

Not sure if anyone here watched this but I would recommend it. I've never been a Britney fan so found the whole thing very enlightening and pretty shocking. The way she was treated by her family, friends and the press was awful and would never have happened to a male performer. And for her to basically be controlled by her father against her will as a grown adult, whilst still able to write music, choreograph and perform shows, is bizarre. Some of the clips in the programme are uncomfortable to watch, particularly the paparazzi surrounding her and even fighting each other to get the best shot.

If you haven't seen Parks and Recreation I'd give it a go. Also Love's very good but I think the episodes are bit longer than you're looking for.
Parks and Rec for me is very hit and miss. Apart from pretty much every scene that Ron is in and most of April's scenes, I find it pretty average (though Chris Pratt can be funny in it). Doesn't help that Amy Poehler irritates me and I don't find her funny.
I only caught up with Parks and Rec for last two seasons at start of lockdown as was being shown on comedy channel or similar and thought was quite funny.
So I started the series from scratch and found I couldn't even get through series 1 as the writing was so much poorer than the seasons I had already seen

Yeah, I've given it two tries because everyone rates it so much but stopped a few episodes in each time. Maybe I should start at season 2...

I watched it a few days ago. Never been a big fan of her music but really liked this documentary film. She was such a beautiful girl, such a beautiful soul. It's so tragic that none of her family or ex-boyfriends are good people. I hope she gets rid of the bad things and the bad people in her life. She deserves so much better.

I'd also recommend Community and Silicon Valley
