Jose Semedo will not sign for Palace! I think the CAFC board have offred him a new deal, which is not up to scratch. Jose will got out and see what else is around like Palace for example.. Then before he signs on the dotted line for them he will show CAFC what he has been offered and if we can get close to it im sure he will sign for us. Basically he is just seeing what else is out there.0

In all honesty he could leave us tomorrow and I wouldn't care as he is detrimental to our side and I have stated that on here long before any rumour that he would be leaving us.To join the nigels would no doubt be a big mistake mind, as we will be playing them sooner rather than later the way they are going.If he does then I get the feeling we could make him cry again.

I am a Palace supporter as you probably guessed by my name and i can tell you it's 99.9% certain that Jose Semedo has signed a pre-contract agreement with us and will be signing over the summer once his contract expires with you.
It would take a massive turnaround now by club or player for this deal not to go through.
Jose Semedo will be an Eagle next season, im sure of it.

they are if you are from another country I believe, players are only allowed to talk to clubs from another country in the last six months of their contract or if they have been given permission. Players in the same country have to wait until their contract ends, or that is how it used to be so palARSE are tapping up other club's players

@roseandcrownI think they are, but if the player is moving between 2 English clubs the contract must be within 1 month of expiring. Presumably Semedo's contract is up on 30 June, so he would now be able to sign this deal.That's how it works on Football Manager anyway, so it must be true.0

Powell keeps saying Semedo and Racon are allowed to talk to other clubs.
Very disappointed in Jose if he has had a pre contract agreement for some months with them. Palace have to be careful if they keep taking our players, the same players who have been with us through our descent through the leagues :-o

As ever Scoham is spot on imo.
Not convinced he's a centre back, could struggle in the air against if the opposition put a big powerful striker on. He's not a right back either, he doesn't offer enough going forward, though he could 'do a job' there.We have missed a trick with Semedo the whole time he has been here. That plonker Pardew turned him into a midfielder when it was quite painfully clear that he was a defender and played well when we put him there. When he goes his new club will no doubt have the personnel to notice his qualities and play him in the correct position and he will go on to much bigger and better things than either us or Palace. This is a classic example of a player being Charltonised, the fact he managed to still win player of the year when playing out of position shows the effort, passion and ability of the man. I will be gutted if he joins Palace, who are far worse than Millwall for me personally as most of my mates are Palace, and as for wishing him the best if he goes there - no chance.
He'd probably be at his best in a 3 man central midfield. In a 4-4-2 he'll really need some very good attacking midfielders to make up for his weaknesses.0 -
about competing in the championship - I believe the statement also said they felt the two leagues weren't far apart in quality, therefore a team that could win league 1 should be able to compete in the championship (not that I necessarily agree what that)0

also thought Semedo was very effective at full back,but so far not shown signs of being a wing back/attacking full back so would need to be balanced elsewhere in the formation0

I couldnt care less an average player who has been knocking it sideways for us for too long.
Big part of our problem the last few seasons i could see the idea away from home having him break up play but at hom we needed someone more creative

if he goes he goes, he's not the best technically and never stood out for anything other than passion and dedication. i am more than happy with hollands as a replacement as he seems he'll be as good with more of an attacking threat. thank you jose. i hope you get palace relegated.0

I was told said rumour back just before Semedo said he would stay for life, I have already said goodbye to him. As previously said not the best technically but plays with great passion. Remember he was in the middle of the park when we got relegated. Time for a change and surely gives us more money to spend on wages.0

but if you have flair you need a solid defencive midfielder in there and he is a 7 out of 10 most weeks

Here here.We don't create enough good chances. Who's fault might that be? The strikers? The wingers? The 'attacking' midfielders? Or the midfield spoiler who's main job is to break up play and give it to the attackers?
Well it must be the spoiler's fault, off course.
Just don't follow the logic myself but it seems it's becoming the accepted wisdom of the majority and who am I to argue with the majority.
