If true, I don't know why you are making a big fuss ? Most of you couln't wait to get rid of him ( Large especially) saying that he was too defensive, couldn't make a forward pass, etc etc. and that he could leave with good grace.............so what's the deal that he moves to Palace ?? I thought you would be pleased, seeing as he is that crap & will obviusly send the Palace down !!
I did say that I thought it was a laugh when he came out with his " I want to stay forever " crap. He knew we would not be offering him anything like the wages he was on, and now he can turn round to the fans and say " I told you I wanted to stay - its not my fault I had to leave - i have to think of my family" etc etc"

No big deal...we have been stale in midfield for a long time. It needs a fresh outlook with new faces (JJ to stay though).

Blimey, totally agree with Golfie.
We havent had a midfield that could hold its own in the division its in since about 2004.
Would replace all 4 of them if we had the funds although would also like to fit a system around Racon who is probably our only genuine Championship level player if he wants to be, ok BWP.
If Semedo goes to Selhurst and is the very poor imitation of Ray Wilkins that he has been down here for 3 years then good luck to him

I think it was obvious Semedo was not re-signing when we agreed decent wages on Hollands, another holding midfielder.
Not sure i'm feeling the anger of others, we forget that players simply don't have the same ingrained sense of club loyalty that supporters have. If he can move up a division, increase his wages and not move his family, can you really blame him ? Sure there is no love-lost between our two clubs, but its hardly Rangers - Celtic is it ?
Won't be nice seeing him in that shirt though, that's for sure.
Not too much going for being a Charlton fan at the moment. The closer it gets to the new season, the more imperative it will become that it is a good one. We simply can't fall any further.

I'll wait until this is confirmed. If he goes, he goes. Just because we made up a song for him doesn't bar him from signing for whoever he likes. He's out of contract and if he moves to another club that is offering more cash then what is different from Danny Hollands coming to us?
And we'll have Jackson and Hollands in the middle. That will do me.

We have offered himless money (maybe a rumour) or not offered him anything yet. His agent must be looking for somewhere else with at least the same dosh or higher. Jose lives in London and is playing for a third level team. Sooooooooooooooooooif another London team came in for him, with more money and playng at a higher level ----- just why would he stay ?
As for Palarse they could get Racon and Smedo for a few £K re signing on and wages. Its a good deal for Palarse and i dont think either of em will walk into their first team.
