[cite]Posted By: EastStand[/cite]I'm not a doomonger, I'd just rather have a manager we could keep hold of for a season or two. One who cares enough about our club to stay with us.
No point in getting promoted if we end up losing our star manager and struggling next year.
Thats just logic, not doom.
Perhaps Parky should have stayed. No other club was like to poach him. Can't see how you can not go for the best you can get by living in fear that they might piss off. They just might not .
[cite]Posted By: Bolderhumphreyreid[/cite]PL54 - i'll have you know it was me who began the sleeps. Check one of the too many Takeover threads (can't remember which one!).
Most miffed when you started a thread about my sleeps.
By the way i've got a patent pending.
Oh and on the subject of a new manager...i haven't seen anyone anywhere but my money's on Wise. If i'm correct though i'm deffo offski.
Apologies everyone. Just done a search and it was actually T.C.E. who began the sleeps talk back on the 9th December.
Until Poyet comes out and says I he isn't interested there is always a chance. I know he has been out the game a while but I quite fancy Hoddle plays great football we would pass other teams off the park in this league surely that's what we all want

we wouldnt with the shower of shite we have mate not at all
[cite]Posted By: Plaaayer[/cite]Poyet went to pick up his son Diego from The Valkey today, just had it confirmed by his son. The Poyet household are now killing themselves laughing!
see the obvious reasons are always the real reasons
i reckon poyet and brighton to make a statement tomoz saying thanks but no thanks
Steve Clarke and 1 other in by sunday night
thinking about it the new manager is unlikely to face spuds in their first game
if we get a hiding ( which we will) then it wouldnt look to good

me and o-randy-hunt was talking about this on the train today....people are saying if its wise he would be here by now.
really?...like anyone would wanna be in charge for the spurs game!!!
Two very good points made on that brighton thread:
1) Whatever they're thinking.... that dude Steve BHA comes across as a right DICK on that thread.
2) Looking at that thread on only confirms one thing for me .... all other football boards are exactly the same as NSC, some rubbish ... some sensible ... some time-wasters.
the fact that no new manager would want to be playing spurs first game, so people that are saying wise would have been appointed by now if it was to be him....no, we got spurs away. surely the new man would wanna wait till after that murdering.
[cite]Posted By: Lewis Coaches[/cite]So nth london addick are you refering to old spuds ex players or just the fact we are playing them this sunday.
who honestly would want to unveil their new manager the new leading light in the new era with a team who have been unable to get past a non league outfit without a 2nd attempt,
got spanked by walsall bottom of our division at home and 1 nil flatered
with a toothless strike force a slow creaky defence and an unimaginative midfield
against a form team in the prem with the chance of beckham being on the bench (worlds media all over it if he is) at WHL
Manager is picked in my opinion deal done will be inplace after the game ready to move on
So one game wonder come on Mr Charlton (keith Peacock ) give it your best.
But do have to agree with you new manager in place after the game and for what it is worth think the man was already known to new owners before the takeover was finished.Cheers for your input nla.
Keith Peacock will do a Chris Hughton.....smash Spurs on Saturday, get us back to the Premiership in one and a half seasons, then on the eve of our Champions League debut be sacked by the new, new owners who buy the club off this new lot and replace him with Alan Pardew.
All the sensible money is on this outcome, including mine (and I got a B in GCSE Business Studies). You heard it here first.
Think NLA is right and the new man is already appointed and we're just waiting for the Spurs game to pass. Poyet would be quality but unlikely imo. Steve Clarke would be a decent option but I guess we'll all have to wait and see.

Wow, you're on a roll, man! This must come to pass.
If I was the new manager, I wouldn't want to wait - everybody think we're going to get spanked at Spurs - I'd want to be in charge, to have some influence, to see which players react well and have the ability to compete physically, technically and mentally with top qualitty premiership players.
What would I have to lose? No fans are expecting us to win?
That's why I don't think we've got our man yet. I think that's because he's currently still in a job. I would suGgest it's one of: Howe, Poyet or Davies.

This report says that Wise is favorite but that Paul Jewell is in the running......
Jewell is an interesting name, he has a decent record although his bedroom antics are something I would rather he kept out of the press.
Anyone heard or seen this elsewhere ???
