Leave the lad alone. It was just a pic of him back in his childhood bedroom. So he supported Arsenal as a kid and achieved a dream come true to play for them?
He did us an almighty favour signing for Arsenal.
Remember, Powell built a new team that clinched the title with the money received from Jenkinson's transfer.
I thought it was a bit strange at first, but then in reflection I feel really happy for him reading that article. Not many young English lads get the chance to play professional Football, let alone for a team you are absolutely crazy about. Fair play to him, he's living the dream!
Much as I have eaten my words on Solly and see his strengths, Jenks has pace, a football brain, athleticism, two good feet and height. Adaptable to play across back four and in midfield. He will achieve more than our Chris I'm afraid. We sold him cheap.
Must admit the boy looks class, didnt think he would be anywhere near the Arsenal first team for a good few years. Big, strong and had pace. He has certinaly proved a few Charlton fans wrong.
I know it's easy to be wise after the event and I've certainly been wrong about players too, but I had Jenks picked as a player from the first time I saw him play for us. Didn't expect him to be playing regularly for a team like Arsenal just yet but I could see he had it. He was our best left back that season despite being 18 and actually a right back.
Pleased he's proving a few doubters wrong because he seemed a nice lad at the players evening I attended a couple of years back and Powell has said he left with the club's best wishes so I don't see why we should hold a grudge.
Can he still play for England having played for the Finnish U21s?

Personally, I like to see young players who have still have that carefree love for the game. It'll quickly get knocked out of him though!
Is Gervinio a Tottenham plant?

Stopped reading at this point. If a national newspaper can't even spell it's intro correctly then I have not faith in anything it is reporting.
Secondly his debut was a cold tuesday night in Hartlepool and he should have been sent off within three minutes of coming on!
Personally I think Solly is the better full back.
