  • ive always been a supporter of his but the team literally have no tactics apart from lump it up to benson and see what happens. what makes it worse is the fact they just don't learn it isn't working and keep trying the same old s***.
  • Totally agree.
  • tell me when has he ever had us playing football?
  • PAOLO DI CANIOOOO
  • I can honestly see NO reason for keeping him here.

The guy doesnt have a clue, he's spent the entire 90mins just standing on the touchline with his arms folded like a sulking kid.

    It's your team Parky.
  • Started his career at Charlton when we were in the premiership what has been his contribution?
  • Who in though...?

And don't give it "anyone would be better than Parky" - who can we attract? we don't even know who we can afford!

Or is it just assumed that the vertically challenged one will pitch up?
  • On paper we have a good team. But paper doesn't mean anything. It's all about the manager and how he gets them players to play like a TEAM.

Even if you look at Manchester United, on paper there players aren't the best in the world, but they know how to play together as a team. Best example being Ian Holloway with blackpool, he has Luke Varney playing well in the premier league, if he came to us on loan like it was suggested he would probably be on the bench tonight and have 1 goal this season.

New owners, step up and get some balls and get rid of Parky.
  • Never been a Parky fan at any stage, but this evening really takes the biscuit. Was pretty upbeat about our chances until I saw the 4-3-3 formation. At which stage this season has this formation actually worked??

Parky just doesn't seem to be able to get the basics right. Jackson is clearly our best player, so why is he shoe-horned into the left back slot when we have Fry available? Put your best player in his best position and start from there. And if you are going to play 4-3-3 and play long balls to a target man then you need two wide men who can get on the end of things, like Wagstaff for example, not Martin or Reid.

I wonder if the new guys have the balls to do what's necessary here.

for some reason Megson keeps coming to mind, I know he is dull, but experienced kept Bolton up the season he was there(I know he was universally hated) ...

  • Where's Jim Magilton these days?
  • What ever it is, Parky clearly hasn't got it. We need a tactitian and a leader who can bring the best out of players and improve them - Parky clearly doesn't fit this description....
  • not a bad call .

Tactics of someone playing Pro Evolution Soccer, as opposed to real life..

the only , ONLY reason we have 11 unbeaten was becasue we lost ried and jackspon sured it all up on the left.. given racon more freedom and also covering Fry ...

so Fry has a bad game(hes still in nappies of course he will now and again) and he drops him and plays against a dangerous Swindon with completely the wrong tactics, then rolls the dice and watches us get taken apart..

big risks tongiht, all of which failed...
  • Anyone got Chris Powell's mobile number because we need him badly

Danny Wilson, who will be mighty fed up when Austin goes. We need to bring someone in who knows this division, who has a good idea of who to buy in the short term & who can get the team playing to some sort of system.

.....and that was supposed to impress the new owners? Parky out.
  • Jiminez is good pals with Poyet,
  • I am all for a managerial change, but no matter what manager we get, you can't blame him for the Dailly error or the piss poor defending for the forth goal. I am not having it that no one was designated to pick up Austin.
The problem for me this season has been our defense. Any team requires good foundations. Sticking a pair with a combined age of almost 80 in the centre was a poor call.
Utilise Dailly for his experiance with a younger understudy (Costa/Fortune), quite possibly.
Dailly to read the game, the younger one to carry out his commands.
    But he never.

I dont think he's a good manager but then again nobody is in this league. If we change then it needs to be better and get us higher than where we are. Anyone out there?

That being said the players were dreadful today, stupid mistakes. They are playing with no confidence and they know nobody better is going to step into their shoes.

Parky out? Yes, but they best have a brilliant alternative.

  • Out for sure after 10 minutes the high ball wasn't working did not see him once sceam at any player who did it so they must be doing what he wanted. Plus Benson marks the defender at the corner when the defender has won every header against him. VERY BAD sack him now
  • Tonight we had no defence or midfield, the forwards had no support and there were gaps all over the place. I watched it on tv and Parky just stood around looking lost. perhaps hes going anyway, .

I agree, someone has coached the ability and passion out of our players.

    We need to start again
  • tell me why we hoof in up all the time, other teams in this league dont.
  • Southampton took our man and he will get them promoted.

i agree that parky needs to go.. i mean if we want a manager that has never won anything and if we are happy with being in league one... then i would say yea.. parky is our man....

    but NOOOOOO!

we need a quality manager (i would deduct 50 per weeks wages to help fund the "Bring Back Alan Curbishley Fund " )
  • Haven't been calling for him to be sacked as of yet, but he's had plenty of time and if anything we're getting worse. Time is up, he'sgotta go.
  • Enough is enough...two years, no progress, no style, no hope...just go Parky.
  • not exactly a high names per post count... Curbishley, Adkins and Poyet are all totally off the menu

so far: Megson, Wilson, Powell, Di Canio, Magilton... bit of variation there!
  • Completely abysmal, two defenders, one central, one creative midfielder, one goal hungry forward and a new manager needed now.
  • we need a spine... a whole spine and a new manger.. for 5 million in this league we could get that...

for 5 million we could get some players who are significantly better than what we have...

but we have to spend.. we simply have to ...
