  • Brighton fan here, I come in peace. From my point of view you hit us on a good day, we have been playing well all season and thought that we would hit a few goals soon. Please do not think you are a bad side, from my point of view, you are not and I would say in parts you were very good. Loved the left winger Kyle ??, looked a good player, though Abbot looked a bit heavy, but he scores goals at this level. I always enjoy a visit to the Valley, great stadium and real football fans, never heard or read any homophobic crap, just a good banter about the game. I honesty reckon you will be challanging this year, and hopefully we will be as well.

Gus has us playing so nice 'tippy tappy' football as someone described and the whole squad is united as well as the fans and hopefullu next year, in our new stadium., we can move on as a club. Always remember the support that you gave us during the dark days of Archer and Bellotti. Best of luck for the rest of the season.
  • [cite]Posted By: Rothko[/cite]For all Brighton's good football, and I do like the way BHA play, the thing that annoyed me the most on Saturday was how little we pressed the ball, the other stuff I can live with, but not an inability to put players at this level under pressure.

What annoyed me was that for all their superiority all 4 goals were assists from us, without us they would never have won -- if you get my drift

[cite]Posted By: MuttleyCAFC[/cite]The good thing about kids is that they can be just as easily won back. They just need to see some excitement and victories. My son want's to support Tottenham but still refers to Charlton as his team for now. The promise of the pink goalkeeping kit when it is finally released is helping to keep him on board.

Are you sure that you want to tell everybody on CL, you are giving your SON a pink shirt?
  • [cite]Posted By: CafcAndy[/cite]I see much more reason to be slating the board for our current situation. 20 so games in, if we still are not performing to our average level, then i will be blaming Parky aswell.

    Expand please?

I like the story about the kidney!
  • Couldn't get on this thread on saturday as too many people were probably venting their anger at the same time and I am glad I didn't as I am sure my post would have broken the record for the most swear words ever. Now that I have calmed down I just hope that Parky realises the mistakes he made on Saturday and does something about it. It is blatantly obvious some players can't play together ( and yes I know we haven't got a large squad ). I remeber when Curbishleys teams were getting over run or something wasn't working he'd change it as quick as possible. Also I agree with some other posts regarding going to the Valley this season becoming a chore but I will never become a fairweather fan. You take a hell of a lot of bad times to get to the good times. Also just remembered saying on saturday at half time we only play in the second half. Shows how much I know!
  • Ooooooooooooooooh statbank when will I see you again?

i'm working hard to get it all back up to date, not far off now. If i am unable to stay on top of it going forwards, then Lancy Lad has kindly offered to take other the reigns, so we'll see how it goes.

Look at it this way Kap. I along with countless others didn't think Parky should have got the job when Pards was sacked. Somehow he did though, and with the backing he has recieved i think Parky has done ALOT better than i ever expected him to in our current financial predicament. Surely anyone can see our position we are in now is through the board showing a lack of ambition. But i love Ricard Murray and can't bring myself to slate him, soo i will support Charlton in the situation we are in, with Parky stuck as manager.

We are in this dire finacial predicament because Parky A: Failed to keep us up and B: Failed to get us promoted.
Parky has to be held partly responsible for our current financial predicament.
Richard Murray has not shown any lack of ambition, he's just made a lot of very bad choices. Appointing Dowie and giving him 13 million was ambitious. Appointing Pardew showed a lot of ambition also.
