I hate the way parkinson robbed the job I hated his awesome trial period I hated the way he got us relegated I hated the way he approached millwall at home like some kind of training match. And last week.... If I was as shit at my job as he is I'd get sacked He doesn't deserve sympathy
Poor parky, boo hoo, he only got several million pounds of support from the board to keep players as talented as Jonjo, Racon and Bailey and support to bring in expensive frees like Dailey and Sodje amongst others. If only he'd had the million (hardy harr harr, less than half that really) that Norwich spent on Holt. Although less not forget that Norwich had the good sense to sack the fail bag that had taken them into that division and - even at an early point in the season - when many wrote them off, they appointed a good effing manager.
Summary: Morts isn't too interested in Parky's outburst.

100% agree this set of players should be performing better the fact they dont lies with the manager, give Gary Johnson 9 games with them
Guaranteed if Parky did have nearly a million to buy a striker, he would not have bought someone as successful as Holt. Parky is part of the regime that spent 5million on Gray, Varney and McLeod remember.
Parky aint charlton He's just a l lucky man in a job that he doesn't deserve and which is too big for him He has no idea whwat being boss of a club like charlton means
Varney 2.5 million, Gray 1.5, McLeod 1.1. Parky was Pardews assistant so would have had a say in those deals. Therefore I am not confident even if he did have Norwichs money, he would not have spent it well

why not get a proven striker over 35 / 36 that would have cost just as much along with your other loan (thud / injury prone / useless ) deals!
He did. The name is Leon McKenzie (although I think he's only about 32, so he hasn't quite reached his peak yet...)
did Parky play Bailey left midfield today to protect the inexperienced youngster Borrowdale ? No ? Well that's the reason why he said he played Bailey out of position last week, to protect Solly. So no reason to do it today was there. Took him 79 minutes before he had the balls to take off either Racon or Semedo and give the midfield more balance. I'm constantly amazed that Sam still keeps getting picked week in and week out and frankly cannot believe what Shelvey has to do to get a game. Parky has inherited and cobbled together a team that should be in the top three in this League and dispite what he thinks they are paid considerably more then other players in this division. That they are not performing is down to him. If he wants a decent striker then stop signing left backs that we can manage without and crap strikers and use the combined moey to sign a decent striker on loan. I don't believe that there are none available but just none available at the wage he is able to pay. Well, rob peter to pay paul. Strikers win games, left backs don't. As for this job security crap. How many of us have job security ? Any one of us can get made redundant tomorrow and won't see much in return. Why should he be any different ? He's lucky to have been given the chance and should be grateful for it. If he isn't happy then piss off, there are plenty of others out there who'd be grateful of the chance.
I do sympathise (a bit) with Parky and agree that he hasn't had any money to spend and that SOME of the players he has brought in (Sam Sodje, Dailly, Richardson, LLera) have been good signings, BUT..........
He also signed MacKenzie when injured, Spring (his first signing who now cant even make the bench) and decided to send out on loan THREE strikers (Dickson, Tuna & Fleetwood) without really giving them a run in the team and replacing them with Mooney & Akpo Sodje.
He also then moans that he has to play Bailey out wide left as we have no left footed winger..........brings in Reid, who has been a revelation and probably MOTM in the last few games, before first putting him on the right and then droppng him completely,
Finally, as Large says, strikers win matches, left backs don't. Seeing as Younga is back playing reserve team football then a first team place can't be that far off. Solly surely could have played against The Gills, a team who haven't won away all season and instead of spening the wges on Borrowdale, use the money to replace Mackenzie instead. ,,,he have to get a replacement for Burton now !!!!!!!!

1. Bailey was playing left midfield because Reid had a minor injury and probably wouldnt have lasted ninety minutes. Last Saturday he was playing on the left to protect the inexperienced Solly.
2. Clean sheets also win games. See Leeds at the beginning of the season.
3. When you find a decent striker who isn't getting a game elsewhere and won't cost the Earth in wages, let us know.
4. I don't think many people would be particularly grateful to be given the job at Charlton at this time to be honest. Not if they've seen or heard about our 'fans' anyway.
One other thing.............just listened to his press conference on the BBC website, and he says that the fans forget that Burton, our top goalscorer, had to go off with an injury.
Top goalscorer he may be, but he has scored just 3 goals since 5th Dec (Southend at home) all penalties....none from open play.
Top goalscorer he may be...........prolific he aint !
"With Charlton trailing 2-1, a section of the Valley faithful made their feelings clear at half-time, and Parkinson said: "What the supporters have got to understand is that I've pieced this team together with absolutely no money.
"I've always been in a position of uncertainty, even over what wages I can give players because of the financial constraints at the club."
What you got to understand though Parky is that every manager needs to cope with the wage structure, Curbs and Grit in the 90's was in a worst situation than you but they pulled it off.

Football has changed since Alan and Steve took over. Mainly since the Bosman ruling and subsequent loan rules in the lower divs to counter that. However, this smacks of excuses in his turn of phrase; I, I ,I, Me, Me, Me.......yeah, but, no, but........
You lot don't understand.........you're just supporters......I aint got the players or money etc......I'd never slag off Alan though.....he's a mate........he bought some of these players......and I can't buy any because of the contracts he put them on......but he's a mate......
SCE.....REW YOU PARKINSON!
Put yourself in his shoes. You'd be talking yourself up and blaming all others to keep your job. Don't blame him therefore. They're all the same. Give it to a young 'un. Brown or Bowen. (I'm not just for people with a b, a w and an n in their name).
Any of the teams in League 1 that I haven't listed would kill to be in our position right now. We've got one of our most exciting ends to the season for ages! How about we stop with this boring talk of Parkinson - there is no way he will be sacked before the end of the season - and then we can chat about it after the season ends, when we know what league we're going to be in.

however they didnt have the crowd booing them when they were in third spot.....
[cite]Posted By: AshTray[/cite]Good point. What's most likely to get us up - Booing, or blind fanatical faith? (like Geordies would do)
yeah, your right , maybe we can get some chartlon branded loud speakers so we can keep a constant booing from start to finish to "drive" the boys on...
keep justifying the damage your doing, keep justifying the wedge your driving between players and fans....
Show that league table again in three weeks after we've been to Southampton, Huddersfield and MK Dons and tell me how excited you are then. Also, let me save you the bother and tell you now where we'll be next season-league one.
As I said earlier, I feel bad for being so negative after yesterday's game, but whatever Parky says, the fan's reaction is not simply because of personal performances by him or the team, its the fact that most of us can see what's coming and can't bear the thought of more disappointment. And I think not making the play offs, in this terrible league, after being up there all season would top everything we've had to go through over the last few years.

Loaness and freebies is all he has had to play with and as i can see that has been restricted as well due to ££££.
I do not argue that some tactics have been piss poor but....
THE BLAME is not soley PARKINSONS
