Just back and yes very pleased Oggy i had a bet @ 10-1 for him to score first also had the scorecast at 3-1 so not so lucky there. Strange game really they could have been 2 up before we scored, that first miss was unbelievable. we could the have gone on to trounce them but it just didn't happen lots of chances but there you go. All in all a good result after a long lay off from playing

And deffo be at Brizzle Rovers.
  • Back to the future on the OS:

"..... Jonjo Shelvey had fired the visitors, without a game since January 28th, ahead in the 12th minute, converting a neat lay-off from Lloyd Sam."

Bugger, not another assist from Lloyd Sam.....?

I thought he was supposed to have no end product?

    ;o)

    Edit: From the OS:
"Shelvey scored with a low shot into the bottom corner after collecting an intelligent pull-back from Lloyd Sam.

Winger Sam caused all kinds of problems to the hosts as the half continued ......"

Ah, intelligent play from Lloyd Sam, eh ...?

    ;o)

Yep, will do. I might make Swindon too, if I can stretch the pennies that far.

Oggy he could have had so much more today, honestly mate about 5 times in the box or on the edge and failed to either shoot or pass when the chance was ther. He perhaps could have got 3 goals himself no lie. Great set up for the goal but there is so much more he could give but for the life of me i dont know why he dont. I'm not digging anyone it was agreat win but he could have sewn the game up himself if he just thought a second quicker

Didnt get to there till late, so i missed the pre match entertainment at the strippers. Im absolutely gutted. Had a beer in their supporters bar, was like drinking at a non-league ground. Very small.

Anyway, thought we played ok in patches. Thought Jonjo and Nicky played very well, along with Semedo & Burton. Also thought Omo had a good game, and was unlucky to be brought off (unless he was injured?). Very disappointed with Sam, got into some excellent advanced positions and failed to get a decent delivery in. Basey was also not at the races today. Still, 3 points in the bag, so im happy. Just slightly concerned that we cant kill a game off...
  • Oggy red,go by train every sat for cafc games at home from st austell , can't do the whisper
thing. Possibly couple of beers may have done it!

Pretty much agree with all this. Thought omo was very unlucky actually thought it was gonna be basey coming off

Uncle, what did you think about Jonjo being shifted over to the left in the second half? Although he didnt have as much an effect as in the 1st half, i thought it was a good decision by PP. Allowed Bailey to play more central and we had an outlet in Jonjo. Thought 1st half, their RB had far too much space and time cos Nicky kept drifting into the middle. Possibly why there RB got MOM (clearly home biased).

    ............

I wasn't there so I can't make any comment about how well/poorly that Basey/Omo played, but Richardson is our first choice RB and it makes sense to give him some match time.

Party in the Oak! ....... might do the last half hour in the Lib too.
  • Another fairly open game I thought. We were slow out of the blocks for sure but looked like we could score when we went forward.

Sam was always a threat down the right. Sure he didn't deliver on many occasions but surely it's better to actually look a threat?

Sure we don't dominate matches playing 4-4-2 like we did when playing with a lone striker but we create more and I'm all for that.

Nick Bailey, another stand out performance. A leader by example. No one comes close.

    I WANT GINGER HAIR TOO!

They were a poor side. Sam had absolute acres of space to run into. Anyone can run into space with the ball, its what you do when you get into those advanced positions that counts. The one time he picked a pass, we scored. I think Sam can be very dangerous, thats why i was so disappointed with him today.
  • Thanks for 6 points Wycombe.
