[quote][cite]Posted By: BlackForestReds[/cite]We might not raise much by selling McLeod etc, but we will get them off the payroll. That frees up some money in itself. I suspect until the deadwood is cleared no one will come on board.[/quote]
I think getting rid of McLeod & Moo2's wages would just help to balane the books more rather than free up any more cash sadly.
Hudson was skipper of a Championship team and the year before that a key part of one of the Championship's meanest defences. Racon is a chap from France who has played a hand ful of times for us & Brighton. We may all know who the better player is but sadly I don't think you can compare the 2 in terms of what we will get for them.
With the signing of Reuben Reid apparently a done deal, Posh could be looking to bolster their attacking options by signing a striker from Charlton Athletic.
Sky Sports are reporting that Posh are interested in beating off any opposition from Hearts to sign Izale McLeod!
At twenty-five years of age, Izale has plenty of miles still left in the tank and any proposed move to London Road is boosted by a few words from his agent, Tony Finnigan, who has remarked,
'I can confirm that Peterborough want Izale.'
'He would be more than happy to go there and we are now waiting for the clubs to agree terms.'
We await an official announcement from the club then!
And Racon has represented them internationally, unfortunately they are not eligible to be members of FIFA - because they are an overseas territory of France - therefore Racon's dreams of lifting the Jules Rimet trophy will have to stay precisely that.

Not convinced we would get their wages off our books, could be a case of take them off our hands and we will contribute to their wages.
[cite]Posted By: cafcdan18[/cite]Billy Sharp to Leeds, I thought he had agreed to extend his Donny loan till end of season. Sharp has just won December Champ Player of the month after a great run, can't imagine he'd want to go to League 1 when after his Sheff United problems, he is just finidng his feet in The Championship
Don't underestimate the draw that Leeds United have on your average Yorkshire footballer. Leeds is pretty much the centre of the universe up there and it would seem a reasonable bet that Leeds will have caught and possibly overtaken Donny and maybe even Sheff U within 12 months.
Skysports.com understands Norwich are closing in on the signing of Millwall defender Zak Whitbread.
Whitbread's contract at Millwall expires in the summer and the Lions are ready to sell him now rather than risk losing him for nothing at the end of the season.
The former Liverpool youngster has been sidelined long-term with a hip injury but he is now back to fitness and Norwich are ready to take him to Carrow Road.
Norwich are understood to have agreed a fee with Millwall for the 25-year-old, with the player in talks with the Canaries.
Norwich boss Paul Lambert is short of defensive cover and he has lined up a move for Whitbread to bolster his squad.
A number of other clubs are believed to have been chasing Whitbread, but it appears Norwich have won the race for the American's signature.
FC Twente are considering a move for Jason Puncheon, skysports.com understands.
The highly-rated winger is currently on loan at MK Dons from Plymouth, but his form with Paul Ince's side has seen him attract interest from elsewhere.
A host of Championship clubs including Watford, Reading and Blackpool are thought to be keen, while League One promotion-hopefuls Leeds and Charlton are also believed to be keeping tabs on him.
However, Puncheon's form is also believed to have alerted former England coach Steve McClaren, who is now in charge at Twente.
Puncheon is on a season-long loan move and his agent Tony Finnigan confirmed any potential deal would need to be agreed by Plymouth and MK Dons.
"Jason is having a great season and is showing some great form, I have long believed he is one of the best left-footed attackers outside the Premier League and he is now showing that," Finnigan told skysports.com.
"I believe there is interest from a number of clubs, but at the moment Plymouth and MK Dons would have to agree to let him out of the current loan and then agree terms elsewhere.
"Jason is happy where he is, but if an offer is put to him then we would obviously have to consider it."
[cite]Posted By: Valley11[/cite]Momentum is certainly with Norwich at the moment. Whitbread would be an excellent signing.
Think we might have to go with what we ve got.
Hasn't he been injured all season though? I'm going to claim he's the next Gary Rowett
If Puncheon is looked after by Finnegan I cant see us being involved.....apparently Lennie Lawrence said to Phil P....how on earth do you cope with Dixons manager being on the phone every five minutes? Finnegan certainly talks his players up, but you cant make a silk purse out of a sow's ear after all.

Dazzlers' best mate Phil P certainly did say that but is finnegan Dickson's agent?

But if Hudson is/was worth £900k then Racon is worth around that too.
IMO, £500k tops for Racon.
Would like to see Puncheon in - think he's just the sort of creative influence we sometimes lack.
But he's no good to us at the moment in league 1....maybe next year.
I'd like to see Guadaloupe winning the world cup but it'll never happen.

Where?
I thought he was French!
I've never even heard of that place
