[cite]Posted By: johnnybev1987[/cite]so these are just charlton related trasnfers/loans? i dont think we'll be as busy as i thought we would a month ago now tbh
Andros Townsend, has anyone herd of him? is he proven eg. has he been on loan to similar club?
I'd like the Puncheon purchase but do not want racon to leave
Just Charlton or Charlton related ie Lisbie IMHO
Townsend is said to have done well on loan at Orient this season.

Townsend was on loan at Leyton Orient this season and Yeovil last season.
Seen Andros Townsend play a couple of times, small and lightweight but quick and very tricky - scored an absolutely unbelievable goal at the start of the season, running from well inside his own half, taking on all-comers and curling it in from 25 yards...
Would be a good addition in my opinion though would leave a question mark over Wagstaff...
Townsend is back with Totteneham now.Speaking to Leyton Orient fans , Townsend is highly rated there. They also think he will be returning there for the rest of the season now the window has reopened.
I also thought Punchoen was on a season long loan at MK Dons which had no recall clause.
What i'm saying is that Brum still managed to buy him even though he was a season long long (with no call back) because they actually offered a permanent deal in Jan.
I don't know the rules (or the Bouazza deal facts) though.
[cite]Posted By: BigRedEvil[/cite]Wagstaff is a right winger though, so when he gets put out on the left it's a bit unfair to judge him too much on them performances.
It wasn't a transfer embargo, more that Parky was told that once the deal had gone through he'd be able to buy players of a better quality than Puncheon so he didn't bother with the deal.
The Mirror guesses that Watford or ourselves are ready to stump up £200k.
Can't see us doing that, as we appear to have a no-transfer fee policy.
Unless we have a suitable player available to barter, as rumoured.
Perhaps that player could be ..... come on Argyle, you know you need a quality attacking France U-21 right back.
If they hurry we have a dynamic striker available too, if he's not already on his way to Scotland!

it was an embargo of sorts he was told ( when puncheon was on his way to sign the paperwork) that he could not sign anyone for a week. Puncheon didn't want to be not playing so he asked to be out on loan.

Not so according to PP himself.
Parky wanted him, he was very close to signing but PP was told no signings for a week and Puncheon went to MK Dons instead.
Parky said that he didn't think we would be able to get better.

Weren't Watford on the brink of administration a few weeks ago as well? As much as I'd love us to get Puncheon, I can only see it being a Bouazza-esque loan-hijack, rather than a permanent deal.

Spot on Mr.Irving, i was there when he said exactly that. Shame we didn't sign him back then.

I'd take getting Puncheon on loan for the season and sending Racon to Plymouth on loan as it would benefit both sides and allow us to have a closer look at things in the summer.

Apologies, just something I was told but must have got the wrong end of the stick.

Sounds just like Scott Sinclair's write up just before we got him in on loan!

That would be a very neat solution, we get the left mdifielder we desperately need, Plymouth get a player well up to playing in the Championship and we don't have to sell a player we'd ideally like to keep in order to get in the left mid we really need.
Come the summer we evryone can sit down and re-assess and we can do sensible business instead of the mad cap, over-inflated stuff that tends to go at this time of year when transfer fees are involved.

For 200k, surely MK Dons would be interested as well?

Both players they already had on loan.
