I think I need to walk up that hill to Ha Ha Road to remind myself how steep it is. Walking the course seems like a good idea to me - I will certainly do it if I am on this side of the planet.
Just hasn't happened for me yet. Still not fully recovered from my Egyptian illness and can't see i'm going to be up to start running for another week at least.

good to see some of you getting started. Personally I am on the road back after about 3 months out with a calf injury. I have worked up to about 8km with no issues in around 38 minutes. I am doing the bluewater 10k in June to see how I am getting on.
I will look to get the training programmes done in the next week.
because my sister in law to be's family are all midgets!! it took us quite a while to finish though as they all have little legs and i walk faster than them being tall!! at the wedding there will be no need to ask bride or groom as one side of the church will be 6ft'ers and the other side 4ft'ers!
enjoyed it, think I'll do the full moon next year (26 miles!), completely not looking forward to October and having serious thoughts about it - its a fecking long way!
Am going to start my training from tonight, plan to get out 3 times a week from now on. If i can do a mile and a half tonight without stopping, i'll be happy !
Anyone else who is doing the run getting into the habit now of when setting off in the car putting the clockometer on, and then getting worried after driving for about 1/2 hour it only says something like 8.4 miles !!!

what did steve say?
Before heading back down towards the barracks... from there it's a fairly straight route through Charlton village, Blackheath and into Greenwich Park
Thats a result closer to the hospital, just in case!!! ;(
How's everyone else getting on?

i'm concentrating on my 13.2 mile walk which is in 3 weeks. power walked for 8 miles on Sunday at 9.30am around Scadbury Park/Chislehurst area.
If you want to see 50,000 women walking around london in just their bras then be in town after The FA Cup......
Any sponsorship greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Wahay, literally 'up for the cups' !!!
I will participate by selecting a run of pubs along the route to stand outside beer in hand abusing encouraging those taking part
