Bad Liebenzell is also very picturesque. How many days do you plan to take driving there, @cafcnick1992 ? It can be done in two if you share the driving but it'll knacker you. And to add a local perspective, if you consider transit through the Czech Republic rather than Austria, I'd advise against it. You will encounter more twats per kilometer, and certainly more trucks, as CZ has lower motorway taxes, so all the dodgy Bulgarian and Turkish trucks choose to come through here rather than Austria. (But if you use the car-sleeper, see above, you will only be on the D5 or D8 for about an hour, and that's bearable.)IdleHans said:

This year Mrs TT and me are riding our bikes to the Czech Republic for an Indian motorbike rally.

My wife doesn’t ride a motorbike, she’s my bitch on the back. We rode my Harley down to St Tropez when we were in our early 60’s with no bother. I would pay to see the look on my wife's face if I told her we were going on holiday on a motorbike. She won't even go in my old MG. Managed to drag her out in it last summer (first time in years) to Otford and she hated it.eaststandmike said:

Got to go to Nebraska in June for a family wedding. Not sure if that counts as a holiday or not. But I intend to try to slot in a visit to another state not previously visited. 46 done, so there's a choice of 4: Delaware, Alaska, Connecticut or Vermont. Thinking Delaware at the moment....1

It was on Sunday and the buffet consisted of a full Sunday roast. The buffet had everything; lobster, oysters, prawns, crab mussels etc. Several types of salads. Excellent in quality. Then we had the bill of £369 for 2 that included 2 bottles of wine (I had only a small plate of food).The rooms and the service including the beach lounges are of the highest quality. It was faultless if you are not screamish at the cost ££££.
we plan on returning next year for a week to truly experience the hotel.The Cliff restaurant is spectacular and pricey too but is of good quality but again you are looking at £150 pp (if you go easy on the wine).DM me if you want more information.
We are going to Barranquilla, Santa Marta and Bogotá. I’ve been to Barranquilla before and many times to Bogotá but not Santa Marta. Meeting up with friends in Santa Marta and then a few days in the Tayrona NP.I certainly agree that Colombia is a great place to visit.1 -
