The commentator described Ahadme as a peripheral player today - seems about right for the season in general imo.
Good job we only spent £1m on him then 🤦‍♂️

bore draw played in very bad conditions .. positives ? .. the team worked very hard and didn't concede, Taylor should be the first named midfielder on the team sheet, that's it

They looked as toothless as we did which doesn't make for a great game. Yes,we can blame the conditions with some justification but what do we blame when it isn't windy? I do think teams know that they have to defend with bodies against us, even at home, and Lincoln were no different. The thing this time was that we defended better than we usually do but I did notice at the end we nearly played some poor balls when not inder real pressure but got away with it today!

Two very poor teams trying to play football. That about all I can think of to say.
At least Licoln is a nice place to visit.

I suppose mind numbingly boring is an improvement on horrifyingly terrible.

That game completely sums up league one .

Complete shite regardless of the weather which I’m sure Jones will use as an excuse.

The amount of fans clapping that. I have no words. And leaburn was laughing at full time when crisitcised, he will never play in the premier league.
    What does this mean ?
Yeah explain please, 'you have no words' ok but the words you did have don't seem to make sense. I am thinking you were there and have seen something none of us have picked up on.

Did anything actually happen in that game? Can't remember even a half chance for either side.

Well, according to the stats there was one shot on target each. I can remember theirs - AMB spilled it - but I have no idea what ours was. Watched the "highlights" at the end of the game and they didn't show this mysterious effort on target then either.

1st half; Chance for them....low weakish shot, parried by AMB and clutched at 2nd attempt.

2nd half;. A. Campbell, poked a foot out and low past the near post.

Oh...and one decent cross, after Ahadme had gone off.

    That's all I can remember.

    'Hard place to go'
'Can never complain about a point up there'
'Conditions didn't let us play our normal game'

I can feel these vibes coming up!

Hard won point. Defensive shape back with Jones return. Nothing going forward again. Points like that away and grab some one nils at home and should stay up.

Anderson shot from  the edge of the box on the half hour was on target but deflected past the post for a corner...🤔

I'm not having that as a shot on target. The deflection happened almost immediately after the shot. The ball wasn't saved or even blocked.

As usual their goalkeeper had very little to do.

There’s always one team that makes a second half of the season surge.
There's usually two - one upwards, one downwards.
  • One thing I learnt from the Sky commentator was that the injury which had kept Jones out had been to his foot. I thought the details of his injury were top secret.

I tried to listen to Jones post match, but clean sheets and weather had me turning it off after just a few seconds. He’s delusional. No shots on target…..
  • I remember when we used to shoot at the goal quite a few times a match. And sometimes those shots were on target. This modern theory you can win games 0-0 probably won’t catch on.
But a 0-0 is a clean sheet and a point won. And that one more point than we had this morning.

It's only Charlton fans who are not allowed to know  the details.

In reality what did you expect him to say...🤦‍♂️
  • I thought we shaded it but a lack of quality from both sides. The highlight probably our 1st half corner , corner passed 5 yards straight to the opposition.

    That was awful.

Lincoln looked the better side at the start and tried to play some football, we continued with the hoof it and hope, towards the end of the first half we started to try and pass it along the deck a bit ourselves. About half way through the second half both sides decided they'd rather be anywhere else other than an early kick off in sh!t weather so gave up and it was just so poor.

You cant even blame the weather too much as it was just overhit passes, pointless long balls, non existent first touches and barely an attempt at goal. Zero quality on display. A total lazy game of football from us and them.

    Positives:

The players showed some competence in passing the ball and on a better day might actually look good, which gives me hope we can move away from sufferball.

    We didnt lose.

At least we tried to play a bit of football today in difficult conditions
