Longtimeaddicted said:We simply do not pass the ball to each other. It’s terrible to watch, today we played 2/3 thru balls on the deck in 90 minutes and that is actually an improvement, another year in Lesgue 1 beckons
It's difficult to judge todays performance with the weather playing a factor but with Jones return Gillesphrey looked far better in the left of the three and the two wing backs got forward, with Tyreece Campbell creating our best chance and putting a shift in when defending.

We got out of the game what we set out too do not concede. IMO
The group as whole though if they can't adjust to a few mm of water were knackered. The number of under hit passes was criminal. Two teams going through the motions it looked.By the way our long throw isn’t long and has the biggest time elapse ever between leaving the thrower and landing3 -
An away point is always good but seems underwhelming following a disastrous home defeat on Tuesday.4

Sillybilly said:The only good thing about that was listening to well informed and articulate commentator who knew when to speak and when to keep quiet.Otherwise utter shite with our brand being slightly less smelly than theirs. We were better than Tuesday in that we had some width but that’s like saying a kick in the nuts is better than a poke in the eye. Fast approaching “can’t be bothered anymore”.If Ahadme is a league 1 standard striker, I am the Archbishop of Canterbury.1

Raith_C_Chattonell said:The other thing mentioned by the commentator was TC leaning back to shoot following one of our better moves. Needless to say the ball was hoisted skyward. Why on Earth do players do this?1

must be something wrong with me as I quite enjoyed the game, our defence was much better but we still can't pass to one of our own which is nothing new, but a point away is not that bad.8

There must be something wrong with you. ;-)7 - Sponsored links:

Leaburn lost a hamstring tendon didn't he? It's a massive injury, one that some don't recover from. The question was whether he'd return the same player - as sad as it is, as of now, he hasn't.11

Was there a live on pitch interview over the tannoy, or are you referring to booing?0 -

It was the strong Wind mate, not rain which all players are used to since if from the UK.

2. You are suggesting he has a massive ego, have you ever met him, well I have?
He is in fact a pretty reserved insular young fella, a little bit on the shy side I’d say and he would certainly pick up some pretty heavy agro from his parents if he so much as showed any sign of having an ego….you don’t know the fella and any found-less assumption you have of him having a large ego is just that…..found-less.31 -
FAO….Bart.
I was given to understand that you were going to Weatherspoons after the game…..I made my way there for a meet up but there was no sign of you or any of the other folk from CL….where did you all end up?0 -

To be honest, after Tuesday, I would prioritise defending if I was Jones. We did that ok. There were one or two defensive passes that just about made it which should have been better but they were as toothless as us. We do have trouble creating and have done all season. Teams know this and they ensure they always have defenders behind the ball as this stops us pretty effectively. Then they rely on defensive errors and we didn't have any big ones today unusually. Players like TC and Small are our main ways of addressing this offensive issue and indeed Small got behind them at the end. We need to address this in January but it will probably be too late by then.
Positives and there were some were Jones being back. The defence looks better with him in it. Terry Taylor looked decent too. I know people get frustrated with Anderson but he does a job with his energy and we are better when he plays.5 -

I absolutely take my hat off and bow my head to anyone who travelled to that today, all the ingredients of an awful day.
The positives are, we didn't concede. We were playing Lincoln at a good time to be playing them as they were trying not to lose almost as badly as we were trying to take as many touches as possible when in the opposition box or in a position to deliver a ball.
Great, and genuinely I'm delighted we didn't concede. That was a very winnable game but with whatever we are trying with the midfield we will never create enough chances for any of our capable forwards to turn these games into wins. Taylor again makes himself undroppable for his delivery, our fault for not attacking a couple of balls into their box better, and I mean showing a desire to meet the ball aggressively.
Referee was our third shit one in a row in the league. But not mega shit just division 3 shit. Conditions actually helped second half as a lot of our normally overcooked balls held up but that was a thoroughly forgettable game. I do not want us sacking another manager however I would love to be able to work out what we are about and what our style is.

Didn't make any controversial decisions, although that was mainly because nothing much actually happened.2 -
