Did anyone see how the dugout window broke today? Not sure if NJ punched it or some debris hit it, but there was a big chunk of plastic causing quite a lot of debate among the stewards and ground staff!!0

Looking forward to watching better football at my son’s U-12 game tomorrow in the pissing rain.0

Paul Elliott (the non exec director) currently posing for selfies in the pub by the station with the life long fan. Just bought another pint, so not on the same train as fans who are a tad peeved...1

A better balanced team but Taylor is hit and miss and he may have taken the 2nd worse corner ever. The little winger from Spurs on loan was probably worse !
I expected the 2nd half to be worse in absolutely terrible conditions.
More excuse today for the final ball being bad than normal and Lincoln struggled in those conditions.
If cafc hadn't been so turgid in 90% of matches this season then a point at Lincoln where we hadn't won since 1958 in the League would've been an ok point.
We need better.
...............
You are correct but I love stats even when like possession stats percentages they don't tell the true story.
We have played at Lincoln 9 times in the league since the 3-2 win in 58 which is still disappointing considering the wins we have had at Chelsea and West Ham when checking our last 9 results at the two London Premier clubs.0 -

Or it could just be that he only recently turned 20 and had fans screaming abuse at him and the players so reacted poorly which would be understandable.22 -
It was better than Tuesday. At least we tried to play football, even if it wasn't very good. And the return of Jones made a big difference at the back.
But a desperate lack of attacking quality, and it's all right NJ saying he's pleased with the clean sheet and now we have to work on the attacking side EXCEPT that he said basically the same things in August and September, and 3 months later, we look just as ineffective going forward.
For example, we are hopeless on breakaways. We get these 3 vs 3 situations where other teams score from, or at least get a shot away, whereas they always break down for us, because of a poor pass or a player moving into the wrong area. Some of that has to be down to the coaching.9 -

Away crowd announced at the game as 652. Did a decent job of keeping the noise going when it would have been a lot easier to stay home after the dismal performances of recent weeks.
The only real positive about the game was that the defence looked solid and played well. But that's better than a poke in the eye. Now if we can have a similar improvement elsewhere on the pitch please.1 -
We simply do not pass the ball to each other. It’s terrible to watch, today we played 2/3 thru balls on the deck in 90 minutes and that is actually an improvement, another year in Lesgue 1 beckons🤬

My trial offer on sky sports due to end soon. Can't come soon enough for me as the red button makes me see red when we're on.1

Very poor game between two very poor sides in difficult conditions. Yeah, we tried to keep it on the floor but even the simple passes were either over or under hit or misdirected. The lack of quality is astounding. During the game I was praying for something good to happen, a good move or individual piece of skill but alas it didn't materialise and the game lived up to my very low expectations. I honestly don't think we are capable of anything better which is as worrying as it is sad.
I thought Taylor had a good game today and Jones made a big difference in defence. No one else in midfield or up front deserved any credit in my view.
I hope everyone had, or is having a safe journey home as the weather has really turned bad..1 -
reminds me of my favorite old Welsh saying “ as 1 Jones returns, the other Jones should fuck off”6

Just imagine if we hadn't surprised the opposition by the return of players from injury after several weeks.Since the return of Ahadme, Leaburn, Kanu, and Jones, we have really capitalised on a mixture of 0 and 1 point results in league games. Keep it up Charlton!3

Not going to repeat my longer post from the other day but I don’t get writing off Leaburn. He’s shown plenty of ability before his injury, signs of it this season with his cup goals and some decent moments in league games. He’s still only 21 and returning from a serious injury.
Maybe his attitude isn’t what it should be, but it’s not unusual for young players to be inconsistent and not always do what’s expected. He’s young enough that his potential is still there and to learn from mistakes to help him get there.
I’m also not sure there’s a single player in our first team this season who’s thriving and hitting their best possible form. Who could in a team playing like this?25 -

Maybe he just absolutely hates the way he keeps receiving a continuous stream of long balls at his head. His whole youth development was about ball playing progressive football.4
