A really low quality game, not all of which can be explained by the conditions.
I thought we at least tried to pass the ball on occasions, particularly in the first half, rather than just thumping it mindlessly towards Lincoln’s goal. Whether that was because of the wind or an attempt by Nathan Jones to modify his tactics, I guess we’ll find out next Saturday against Mansfield. Unfortunately, like Lincoln, we were unable to make any impact whatsoever in the final third.
The three central defenders were all solid and the return of Lloyd Jones made a difference, both in terms of his aerial ability and his leadership. Tyreece Campbell had a poor game, not helped by the fact that, whatever he is, he is most certainly not a right wing back.In midfield, Terry Taylor looked tidy and Docherty was industrious and better than usual, especially in the first half. Unfortunately, Anderson struggled to control the ball and find his men.
Up front, neither Ahadme nor Kanu were able to hold the ball up and bring their teammates into play, as a result of which, our attacks continued to flounder. Granted the service was poor but Ahadme’s lack of pace and physicality are real problems. At least Leaburn managed to hold the ball up once or twice.Neither team did remotely enough to win the game and, overall, it was a decent point away from home, given our poor form this season and the debacle last Tuesday.7 -

that’s either Trumpian dishonesty
or Jones is actually a delusional moron in the grip of a major psychotic episode
He’s only fooling the vested interests that convinced the Americans to sign him in the first place
Our only hope is that Fleming isn’t as mad/dishonest as Jones and he gets to coach some of the players some of the time
Supporting Charlton is a nightmare scripted by Edgar Alan Poe on his worst trip ever3 -

He's still very much at the start of his career, he had a decent debut season, but its still a lot to put on his shoulders for us.
There have always been games where Defenders at this level have shown how inexperienced he is.8 -

I think that the only two decent players from last season that we had, namely Dobson and May were both let go.
Jones should have built his team around them, but Jones knows better.
The players he brought in with the exception of Ramsey are either past their sell by date, or simply not good enough to play the style of football that Jones wants to play.
So we are well and truly fucked. The summer recruitment has failed miserably, and I cannot see the owners stumping up the cash to start again.
With this group of journeyman footballers we’re heading for lower to mid table obscurity.
Another season over before Christmas has arrived.8 -

I've always found it strange that it is a given that the manager doesn't out a poor performance for fear of upsetting our poor over payed and frankly over hyped players, for fear that they might go and sulk, are these men or boys, if you can't hack it playing the wonderful game, go fill the shelves in Tesco and join the real world...0

If you’re going to be terrible the very least you can do is drag the opposition down to your level and we did that today. Never seen so many misplaced passes from both sides. It was like watching us against us and I didn’t like it at all. Taylor was quite good, all else was pain. It can never unhappen. We’ll never get those minutes back. Repent.6

Only saw the 1st half but compared to the last two matches we accurately passed the ball on the ground and used the width. A better balanced team but Taylor is hit and miss and he may have taken the 2nd worse corner ever. The little winger from Spurs on loan was probably worse !
I expected the 2nd half to be worse in absolutely terrible conditions.
More excuse today for the final ball being bad than normal and Lincoln struggled in those conditions.
If cafc hadn't been so turgid in 90% of matches this season then a point at Lincoln where we hadn't won since 1958 in the League would've been an ok point.

We didn't hoof it at least but the quality is so so poor. Mind-numblingly boring to watch.4

I watched the game on and off, but sadly, in doing so, I had an overwhelming feeling of indifference - and I really don't like feeling that way.

Extremely hungover after a work festive jolly up yesterday, made it out of bed at 12 in time for this, was back fast asleep by half time.5
