A creative midfielder scored, the back 3 are solid as a rock and we kept a clean sheet.
We're ticking a lot of boxes that our fans have been moaning about recently, let's hope it continues8 -

They were so leggy in the final part of that match, where as we just seemed to be getting stronger.
They tried to match us up. First half they did an US, and played the high pressing game. Clearly as you point out, they couldn't live with ourl levels of fitness.
Apparently Jones knows something most fans (me included) don't. It's a tough (often frustrating) watch and looks to be going nowhere, but two wins from two is all that matters in the league table. (Quite like that Jones gets booked every game)
This 'grind them down' football is an awful watch, but as people are saying, if it works, why question it? Let's see how effective it is come season end.
Happy days. Anyone know how to find Pornhub, just asking for a friend!

Clean sheet and three points but at the cost of what looks like a nasty injury to Josh Edwards. Thought Small was excellent when he replaced Josh and seems far too good for a bench place. Campbell and Ahadme are not a strike pairing. Campbell wanders too far from Ahadme for it to work. Early days but I don’t see Ahadme as a 15 goal striker. We definitely need someone in the middle who can put their foot on the ball and dictate play. Going forward we don’t look at all fluid. Next three games are I’d say very difficult so let’s see where we are after those. At least we can enjoy two wins out of two despite the obvious deficiencies. We do look very fit though.6

Two clean sheets in a row. 6 points. I will take another 44 1-0 wins if you don't mins Jonesy.16

My heart can’t take a whole season of this. First half was absolutely shocking and Orient really should have scored that chance Gillesphey gifted them. They pressed much higher than us and left us punting hopeless long balls forward while they played the ball around pretty comfortably.Second half they seemed to tire and we got a lot more forward momentum. If not for Small’s comedic crossing we might have been ahead a bit earlier.
I’m still at the point where I can’t work out if we’re a rubbish team scraping wins or a good team just doing what we need to do. Either way Bolton next week will be the biggest marker yet.
Special mention also for a truly embarrassing referee.12 -
It's really tough to watch but it's working. Plus Jones teams do seem to start pretty slowly and build momentum as season's progress so NJ has enough in the bank that I'm willing to trust the process for a bit longer.
Crucially you can see that the condition, fitness and effort stays high throughout games so whether you like it or not the attritional football is by design, hopefully with more flair to come.2 -
Three seconds of quality in the opposition's box.
One goal.
Three points.
That's what you can get if you defend properly for the whole match.
I've seen all three games and the improved defending, higher energy and pressing are so noticeable compared to last season. The only negative is a lack of penetration, in spite of Campbell's pace. Ahadme needs to up his game.

Note: Most improved player award has got to go to Coventry.
I'd have swapped him for his own Panini sticker last season, such was his form, but he is now starting to be a crucial player. He doesn't get it all right, but he is doing the hard yards, and a lot goes through him.

Aside from the goal, I actually thought Berry was very good in all qualities.I thought everyone played well, maybe apart from Ahadme but not writing him off yet5

Considering our players are still learning to play together I thought it was a decent performance.4

Thought that was an excellent and a thoroughly deserved three points.
The atmosphere was great for the first fifteen or twenty minutes, and we started very well. The injury to Edwards seemed to put a dampener on the crowd and the players, and Orient looked stronger and quite threatening up til half time. But Tupac was always a threat, always making runs, quick to the ball, and rarely losing it.
In the second half we looked stronger as the minutes ticked by, without really testing their keeper. Ramsey was excellent, and his deflected effort his the corner of post and bar.
Unlike last season the defense looked rock solid, with the Gillesphey/Jones mix up being the only (slight) moment of concern.
Small was the perfect sub as it turned out, and had a storming second half, with Clare unable to handle him.
Chuks won header after header, and it was great to see his efforts rewarded with his assist for Berry’s goal. The latter made up for his three missed chances last week with a clinical finish, just inside the keeper’s right post.
Bloody ecstatic about those three points. Top of the league, if only temporarily.
We look like some of those teams that were beating us last season - solid, physical, and hard to beat!

Good performance…clean sheet win. Felt Ramsay, Coventry and Campbell were excellent.
Amazed at the low ratings for Campbell on the player marks thread, he run and caused problems all day.
Doc looks like a proper leader. An attacking midfielder would make a big difference.Good start to the season.6 - Sponsored links:

Looks like Friedman enjoyed that

We need to find someone to take corners.17

And another thing. It’ll take a good side to give us a thrashing. We’re certainly capable of conceding but I can’t see us getting walloped.5

I think we have consider as many lifer's have said in previous years that only after 10 games can we really begin to judge how things are and what players are up for it or not.
I really can't be critical of Adahme as he's playing with a kid in TC who seems wander off like he's going to the sweet shop..... Adahme needs a better partner before we write him off.
Its true that this is not pretty to watch but as its the worst league to get out of then if we have to endure another 44 games of attrition then I'm in.
I also hope we can stop bringing Alfie May in on conversations, it's like talking about an ex... Move on unless you want ulcers!

Amazing what you can do with a clean sheet!

Think we'll see a lot of that this season, generally shite for 70 minutes until the opposition tire and we exploit the gaps.
Better set piece deliveries would definitely help in this setup but hopefully that's something that can be worked on.
6 points out of 6 though, onwards up upwards COYR!4 -
One word.

I like TC and clearly think he’s playing better than others but Godden showed what he needs to be doing more when the “big” striker is challenging with his head. Helps that Aneke is so good in that regard too though3
