  • It's really tough to watch but it's working. Plus Jones teams do seem to start pretty slowly and build momentum as season's progress so NJ  has enough in the bank that I'm willing to trust the process for a bit longer.

Crucially you can see that the condition, fitness and effort stays high throughout games so whether you like it or not the attritional football is by design, hopefully with more flair to come.

We're just getting in "Jones" time for the one goal to win this...

  • Wigan still look unhappy at the back... Its been a week fellas... Cheer up
  • Considering our players are still learning to play together I thought it was a decent performance.

We were shite. We won. Job done.
Thought we looked good second half tbf
Agreed mate, We were better than them without looking like we'd win it, until our goal. And if today is the benchmark of our season,  and we get promotion, It'll be a brilliant season in regards to the outcome we all desire. But that wasn't pretty. And I don't care about pretty, this won't be like the SCP season we won the league, or the passionate LB season. I don't give a feck how it's done, we just need to get it done.

  • Looks like Friedman enjoyed that

Methven: "F**k it... They're going to be a League above Oxford next season"
  • Amazing what you can do with a clean sheet!
  • Think we'll see a lot of that this season, generally shite for 70 minutes until the opposition tire and we exploit the gaps.

Better set piece deliveries would definitely help in this setup but hopefully that's something that can be worked on.

6 points out of 6 though, onwards up upwards COYR!
  • And another thing. It’ll take a good side to give us a thrashing. We’re certainly capable of conceding but I can’t see us getting walloped.
To be fair I don't think we lost by more than 2 last season.
  • I like TC and clearly think he’s playing better than others but Godden showed what he needs to be doing more when the “big” striker is challenging with his head. Helps that Aneke is so good in that regard too though
