  • One for the fitness team there, we finished far stronger.
    As did LargeAddick

  • Already earned 11.3% of last season’s points total (6/53)

Already earned 40% of last season’s clean sheet total (2/5)
    Thats hilariously bad
  • No one has mentioned Chucks appearing to be dragged to the floor at the far post. Was it a penalty?
I thought Ahadme and Campbell played well. They were always available and clearances stuck up there which is so important.
They refused to give their defence a minutes peace and softened them up for the finishers to come on.
Hit the crossbar, poss Penalty and a very good goal, v their two shots on target.
    Great result and well deserved.

let’s let’s face it, if we hadn’t scored in additional time Jones and the team would be getting pelters for 1 goal in 3 games
I think it’s going to be a reoccurring theme. We’re not going to score lots of goals but we’ll be tight and competitive and will be difficult to beat. That always gives you a chance as the first two games have shown. We’ll see what else is in the locker when we go a goal down. Then we’ll need to show more.
  • 4th in the league after two games and two clean sheets, that'll do nicely, and as for 1-0 wins, the more the merrier...roll on Bolton next Saturday...
  • Said after Wigan I'd take another 45 1 - 0 wins.

I've changed my position, I'd take another 44.

We were the better team without creating many clear cut chances against a horrible time wasting, shirt pulling, playing for a draw from minute one Orient.

But in the end we took the best chance we had and then did what good teams do ie kill the game, take it to the corner and see the game out. How did your own medicine taste, Leyton?

No outstanding performances but L Jones and Mitchell impressive, Small and Ramsay bombed forward, TC ran them ragged, Mannion not really tested but claimed some corners well.

Set pieces and corners still not troubling the opposition enough but it's early days.

The Edwards injury the only downer in what was otherwise an excellent home start.

Met two of the US owners pre-game, two guys who seem very committed to the project.
Without breaking any confidences @HenryIrving could you elaborate on what our US owners had to say ?
They love the museum, love that the club has so much history (we gave them and their sons each a leaflet with a potted history of the club - copies available from the museum) and they are both big Who fans so loved our displays on the  two  concerts.

Said as ever when taking over a business you find things you didn't know  about that have to be  sorted out but it was expected and they dealt with them. They didn't specify.

Friedman and Rosenfeld are brothers in law, which I didn't know.

Four of their sons were also there so hopefully the next generation are getting the bug too (the Micheals to Albert and Stanley perhaps if that isn't a damning comparison)

Nothing else I can share, no  transfer gossip but they see the need  for stability and long termism. They may have started out as investors but now see themselves as fans.

    Very friendly and personable guys.
So they didn’t mention to you the £50 million war chest that Jones will be getting in January ? Interesting !

The owners celebrating with MOM Berry. They thoroughly enjoyed the win, thanked everyone for their support. They understand there will be ups and downs in the short term but what they are focused on is the long term, all sounds very promising.
Anyone point out who's who in this photo please? I know Berry's far left
Maybe Rosefeld  Jnr, Josh Friedman, Spencer Freidman?, some footballer, Warren Rosenfeld

Needs to stop holding his marker’s shirt, then we might get a few free kicks / penalties. All time he doing that, then the ref give us anything.
