Oh, trap three in the first East Stand bogs still has a broken lock, entering the third season now. I mean how difficult is it to repair. I'd rather not poo with a crowd watching if you don't mind.
You literally just advertised your next fixture.
  • Winning football that will hopefully give us a decent shot at getting out of this hellhole of a division. I for one will take that

    Great result!

Clare should have been sent off

Clean sheets and wins when half the squad are still settling and learning to play with each other is massive imo

I think that’s a sentiment we can all get behind
  • One for the fitness team there, we finished far stronger.

    Anyone missing Hector and Thomas?
No but wonder what difference May and Dobson would have made.

    Not complaining. It was leagueonetastic.
I think as time goes on people are going to start to reflect more on how much Dobson's exciting, dynamic style left us exposed through the middle. Orient had one good chance today, I suspect it would have been more than that if Dobson had been there based on last season

6 out of 6 points available, 2 clean sheets, winning ugly, top of the league, what's not to like?
Tippy tappy football got us nowhere the last few seasons, but high press, clearing our lines and throwing bodies in the way to block shots etc. and giving 100% does!
I'll take winning over performance all day long if it gets us out this godforsaken league!

11% of last season's points tally already. Still getting used to this style of play, Bolton next week will be a real test and if we can shithouse our way to a victory against them I will really start to believe. Delighted COYA

0-0 would have reflected that game better.
But will always be happy when luck on our side.
As a game it was tedious, we had no creativity in midfield.TC frightend the Orient defence with pace but has no shot on him
Ahamanade just.seem slow to every thing. He cannot winthe ball or hold it up.
The  difference in the second half was Chuck Aneke and his physicality..
Small and Ramsy are terrible at crossing into the box,the corners today were poor.
Just glad the defending is capable last minutes blocks and tackles.

  • Jones was outstanding today - we look much more solid at the back.
  • Love Jones... Especially with him saying that he joins in with moments like that goal, because he puts so much effort into Management, doesnt live with family by the sounds of things, doesnt go on holidays

It wasn't very entertaining but 2 wins to start the season is always handy.

Feel we need to add some flair to the side to really challenge at the top

“A week or ago if you’d said we were going to win 2 of the 3 games, these are the two I would’ve chosen”
  • Gritty performance against a pretty horrible team, Ramsey MOM by a street but all of the defence looked good and it’s hard to see why we need another keeper at the moment

Don’t think there is anything wrong with a bit of criticism after a win but certain things aren’t quite working for me in the forward positions, Coventry can’t take a corner,  and Docherty looks off the pace and hiding although did improve like the rest of the team in the second half

But a wins a win and onto the next 2 much tougher fixtures

Wonder what he's alluding to with regard Mannion, sounds like a distressing personal issue.

Listened in whilst cleaning the holiday cottage.
Can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a game so much.
The Valley faithful were in fine voice.
Really hope Edward’s isn’t too bad? Clare really is an idiot.

CM was loving the fan zone today, smashing the beers and had about 40 grouts in an hour so must have been nervous.

I thought it was quite good apart from a beer van that had no beer……

Think that the point that we started looking better when Orient started to tire out was entirely by design. It's not exciting but grinding teams down and waiting for mistakes to start happening is a feature not a bug.

Not going to hand out many thrashings but very very few teams are going to have a comfortable afternoon when we turn up and that will be a useful edge to have, even more so once Leaburn is back and in rotation as he's a big lad who can play a bit too.
  • I think getting Miles back is going to be key. He’s good in the air. Strong and can move with the ball. It’s exactly what we’re lacking right now. I think him and Ahadme will be far more effective than Campbell and Ahadme. At present our two front men are too far apart to cause problems and Ahadme looks completely isolated. Campbell did pretty well today but it doesn’t look like a front pairing.

You can say Charlton are shit
But I prefer, we play with Grit
Charlton give their fans nervous tics
But the stats state it's six out of six
If Charlton can keep the clean sheet
    The fan/critics will stay upbeat.

Disagree. Ahadme needs a quick striker who can latch on to his headers. It is not yet working with TC, it may with Godden. Leaburn could also play with Godden, as Chuks did today. Plenty of options but not Ahadme/ Leaburn.

Think everyone has forgotten how rapid Leaburn is. It’s part of what makes him so good, he looks like he should be a big lump but he almost always beats defenders in a foot race
