brook looking in great touch, great morning of cricket - very balanced and both sides will come out happy, cummins must've been thinking he'd made a terrible decision bowling first with england's start.2

I think Australia slightly shade that session, just because one of the three wickets they took was that of Root.
But after a streaky start, Brook looks like he wants a big score..4 -

Brook is such a talent and looks one of, if not the most complete batsman we've ever produced. He needs to match that talent with a career that has the longevity and success of Joe Root.3

This is why England need to bat long in this innings. Make sure he bowls three or four spells and he'll be knackered for the second innings.
