    One thing I'll agree with you on Golfie

    We've looked good going forward this last 30mins - But our lack of Striker has stopped us making it 2-1

    Well that was unimpressive from both sides.  I guess Hector was the best of our players in that 30mins, the long passing got worse.

    I know its only a friendly, so isnt going to be the most exciting spectacle on offer... But god it feels like this game has been going on since the beginning of time

    Is how I'd probably start the first game of the season.

    I'm expecting Lloyd to get some game time and show why he'll start ahead of Thomas, and I'm also hoping a new striker and a new wingback come in, and maybe McGrandles or a new midfielder to come in and mean Fraser plays further forward and Payne drops to the bench
    I'd like to see McGrandles and Dobson with Fraser in front of them. Fraser and Dobson has never really worked and Payne might snap about people's ankles but he isn't going to add to the defensive shape, so we'll end up with Dobson firefighting while teams play through us again. A more solid base with Fraser able to drive forward and drop in when needed would suit us better. I think we still need upgrades in both WB positions and up front, as well as another central midfielder

    It doesn't appear I missed much.
    The sun finally appeared, rain stopped so the goats were allowed out & mucking out had to be done.

    The first half was entertaining and we played some good football. Standard and entertainment have both gone down second half

    It just shows how much work there is left to do, even adding Jones in there.  The front 7, 6 where here last season and they weren't all in our best 11 then.

    I know there is plenty of time left but I want at least 3 or 4 who walk straight into that team and another 4 or 5 that give better cover than what we have got.  At least 3 or 4 need moving on as well.
