PWR: which of these two should Charlton try to play like?

Jayden Morata is coming on, so, Spain I guess...
    Chuks Morata!

  • Beautiful move and finish.
  • Oh look a centre forward!
  • Wonderful move and Asensio converts through the posts for 2 points
  • Great finish.
  • Great finish.
It was. Morgan had a similar chance late on yesterday at 2-1 but got too much on it and poked it well wide of the near post.

Charlton's No 10 would have buried that also sent it way over the bar
  • Seen so many shots like that in the last week, what is the matter with them that they can't get the basics right? Lean back, shot goes over, it's just physics. Surely not that difficult to keep a ball down when you've got that much time to anticipate its arrival at your foot.

  • Any chance Spain rest a few against Japan if they hold onto this?

    Hopefully.

Player like Morata and Giroud are central strikers or centre forwards in old money and Alan Shearer is right, they know how to attack the six yard box because they have been doing it  every day in training since they were kids. They will miss many and both do but they both have a good scoring record for their Countries.
  • Absolutely can’t believe that Sergio Busquets is only 34, would have guessed he was at least 58 given how long it feels like he’s been around
  • German equaliser incoming.
  • How’s Moukoko sitting on the bench. Madness.

It's what will probably stop this Spain side from dominating in years to come. There's no Torres, Villa or even a Morata coming through along with this group.

General feeling is, it'll be an exciting side to watch but just lacking a Villa and Puyol to go all the way.

    Yup... Madness ;)
  • A good evening for old fashioned No 9s.

So both teams bring on a natural centre forward and score. Mad innit.
  • Great finish - hadn’t heard of Fullkrug before
  • Football cliché:

Never write off the Germans and another Central striker scores.
  • The German no 9 has put himself about nicely too, height and strength are still important threats.
  • Great finish. Just noticed Germany's kit - awful. Missing Italy now who always look the most stylish
  • Recognise it ain't working - identify where its going wrong - affect change - Robert's your dad's brother
  • Chuks Fullkrug #cheatcode
  • If I've got this right, providing this stays a draw, Germany will go definitely go through if they win by two or more against Costa Rica and Japan fail to beat Spain
  • That is an absolute banging tackle.
