That result has definitely taken a bit of the edge of the occasion. Being able to knock Germany out tonight would have been such a motivator for the Spanish

agreed, exactly the point of VAR and like you say a quick easy decision is how it should be used
Struggling to keep interest with this tournament at the moment. All the play feels so slow. Bring on the knockouts when teams have to go for it.
Japan rather spoilt tonight's game by losing earlier. If they had won, then Germany would have needed the win tonight to stay in, and would have had to go for it
