I actually think his morning walk lasts for as long as the Twitter video he records. I bet he hates walking really.Red7Oak said:The guy loves a walk but when you want him to walk he wont!
Actual footage of his morning "walk".
This is also why we struggle with injuries. That's our midfield, right there, pulling the carriage.5 -
Any chance Gunter can go with him?4

Pardew has still got 3 years left on his Newcastle contract........ricky_otto said:
David Moyes was still being paid by Manchester United up until 2019 - 5 years after he was sacked.Killersgonad said:I am not sure the settlement is paid straight away. I know of someone who was sacked as manager of a league one club last season and they continued to pay his salary and rent for his house for an agreed period of time which was shorter than the remainder of his contract.2 -

Not sure I agree with it being one of the worst transfer windows in our history. Yes business was done late and the players haven’t been playing well, but good money was spent on some top League One players. We even took some of our competitors’ best players - I can’t remember that happening for a long time. Just because our form is terrible that doesn’t mean every player we have is terrible.Cafc43v3r said:
I love the fact that architects of one of our worst transfer windows in history get a say in the fate of the poor bastard that got lumbered with them.AFKABartram said:Personally I think it’s fairly obvious he is being ditched.
1. It’s clear there was a late night meeting. If the outcome was to continue, there would have been indications and whispers dropped today that was the case
2 The comms team haven’t put a single thing out today
3 There is no logical reason why to continue the status quo
I don’t think Adkins is a victim here, he has the tools to be doing better than where we are. You can have a rubbish players and still look like you a have a game plan or philosophy. We looked more cohesive under Karel Fraeye and Russell Slade.5 -
Powell recruitment worked and there was hardly any duds.
Kirk came with a bigger reputation than Stevens. Stockley than the failed Yann.
Bradley Wright-Phillips loved gaming more than scoring goals, Hollands was considered slow, and Ben Hamer was erratic.
Jackson was a battler but lack of pace meant he had dropped down the divisions.
Morrison career was going backwards and Taylor (CB) was considered a journey man player.
The biggest plus was Solly and Wiggins who were the best full backs in League 1 and when these two were fit and in tandem we had a good shape at the back and had forward mobility especially with Rhoys attacking down the Left.
They became a team at Charlton Athletic because of the manager and the spirit which came from having a good captain in JJ and everyone being on the same page.
All the players found their A game and it was a 100 point bonanza of a season.
Once shite week when we lost 2 games at home. But other than that we were very consistent.
That team and squad was better than its parts.
Two ways to increase your chances of promotion. Wigan and Ipswich money way, or the Plymouth way and pick a young coach who made mistakes and got thumped by a team last season ! But who learnt from that and with a modest squad has shaped Plymouth into a team with shape, desire, and a winning mentality Judging by their first dozen or so games.
Underwelmed or overwhelmed at first glance, players have to gel once selected.
That is the managers job to Galvanise and get the very best out of the players.
Nigel Adkins has failed and if he didn't want certain players he should have said so. In fact Steve Gallen said Nigel did reject certain players so he must have been content with the rest.

The real reason Adkins has struggled is because he never had a 100% Support banner on CL.7

We signed some wrong players,Clare,Dobson, early and we signed almost all the rest too late. Something a lot of us were pointing out during July. Whatever mistakes Adkins has made the senior management are also culpable.Cafc43v3r said:
We signed some very good players. Its the players we haven't got that is as much of a problem. Maybe Arter can still be one of them.AFKABartram said:
That may be true and jury was out on some, but it’s also fair to acknowledge that the vast majority of fans were more than happy when we signed Kirk, Leco, Lee, Lavelle at the end of the window, and also the earlier signings of Stockley, MaxGillivray, and Famewo.Cafc43v3r said:

Nobody comes out of this looking good. The point remains that Adkins has enough at his disposal to get us in and around the top half, certainly enough to avoid the bottom 4.Southbank said:

3 There is no logical reason why to continue the status quoAdkins needs to go but there also needs to be a serious restructuring in the way the club operates. I’m astounded Peter Varney hasn’t be utilised since first speaking to Thomas pre-takeover6 -
