  • Blimey, that Jayden guy looks a dead ringer for Bow... and a keen fisherman too ;)

  • With six loans now, who misses out if everyone is fit?

    Stockley | Smyth | Millar | Maatsen | Shinnie | Famewo...

     Smyth.
    Yup.

I also feel for Bogle and think it’s disgusting some of our fans on Twitter.

When were the official photos taken, as he has a beard in them, whereas in that training video he looks like he's had a shave?

    Welcome back Simon Makienok.

Bogle actually had a very decent 1st half at Posh.

Yeah certainly answered his critics in the game but reckon Stockley would have been ahead of him had he signed

I'm half expecting Bogle to start and Stockley to be on the bench tomorrow.

Surely Aneke will start tomorrow with Stockley coming on for him.

So now we have Stockley, Aneke and Schwartz (who is slowly getting up to full fitness) and assuming Bowyer will only play 2 at the same time, who is going to be the first choice pairing?

Not including Washington as i'm guessing he'll be 4th choice.

The two who play best and justify their selection.

Charlton fans always either demanding more players or worrying we have too many.

    Preston fans' thoughts here:

Not overly fussed to see him go, but complimentary about his character.

Didn’t Bows say that the player he wanted before the Posh game would have started, so I’m expecting Ronnie and Jayden up front

For pure info only, he went to school with my lads best mate, who is in the Royal Navy, & parents live not far from me. Haven’t a clue who they are though, just saying 😄😄😄

Just looked at Jayden Stockley's wiki page.

Checking his goal tally, saw that for Charlton he's scored 0 goals in 0 matches.
That's not very impressive, is it?

Can I be the first to say underwhelmed.

I'd like to see Stockley play with Aneke. Why not overload with a certain attribute, in this case physicality?

Happy with the signing itself, seems to have something about him and a potential to sign permanently if it works out. Just a little surprised at Bogle being dumped this early as a direct consequence of it and seems a bit harsh.

But if that decision to get rid of Bogle has been made, seems a useful option and can hopefully bully defenders at this level and another decent option to add onto Schwartz and Aneke. Just need to be able to get some good balls into the box now
Bogle was a desperation signing to bump up numbers, while some (well someone) haven't liked what I've said about him the proof is in the pudding ..... no not saying bogle is a pudding. Hmm there again  :D

Decent signing, he’s a lump and he caused us problems last season

Well, we've found out from Seth Plum's video post above ..... young Jayden's favourite city is London.

And his favourite colour is red.

    That's the right answer, Jayden.

What would be interesting with that partnership is Aneke could play higher up the pitch - Stockley would be the hold up player with his back to goal or dropping deep. Other than a short spell alongside Bogle, Aneke has always been the only physical striker up front, so he's been the one who needs to challenge in the air and hold up the ball.

I think this signing will see us mainly stick with 4-4-2. The diamond worked well with Taylor and Grant/Leko who were all mobile and able to run with the ball. Aneke, Schwartz and Stockley should have goals in them, but none of them have genuine pace.

i think you're right - if millar gets injured we have little pace up top - i think another pacy forward is now the priority - if anybody was in any doubt about how poor bogle, washington and smyth are, just look at our transfer incomings this window
