I've got this one somewhere. Glass went a while back though.Six-a-bag-of-nuts said:I must admit I had never seen this before.
I presume it dates back to the early 90's when I was in enforced absence from all things Charlton.
It is described as a proposed rebuild design during our exile.
Does the museum want it?0 -
We used to get our bubble gum cards from a delicatessen a couple of shops up from Barnehurst library. The only Charlton player we ever used to get was Alan Dugdale. Had multiple 'swapsies' of him.Covered End said:I remember Trevor Hockey playing for Sheff U.
I had him on a bubble gum card.1 -

The man in the white jumper is my Grandfather! Thanks so much for putting this up as I have never seen this picture before.Six-a-bag-of-nuts said:Not particularly exciting - think I took it from inside the players tunnel on a summer open day (circa 1975 ?)

Wow, that's amazing @Duncan270566
Didn't even occur to me that either of the 2 Gentlemen would be identified, but really thrilled for you.
If you like, Pm me your address and I'll post you the original to keep39 -

@Henry Irving
Have no problem with Museum using the photo, as long as @Duncan270566 has no objection.

I have no objection.
@Henry Irving, His name was William Campbell, but all the players and staff called him Jock. He was primarily the weekend watchman when there was no game at the Valley and when Charlton were at home, he made the players tea, helped lay out the kit and ran the baths at the end of the match. He helped out at Selhurst park, but sadly, he passed away before we went back to the Valley.14 -
Thanks for that. I will happily pay the postage.Six-a-bag-of-nuts said:Wow, that's amazing @Duncan270566

This is always worth a re-visit for pictures and video's courtesy of the excellent Charlton Champion website

Numerous away teams were allocated part of the East Stand during the PL years for FA matches as well as Wycombe for the League Cup. Pompey also had it for the game in 2017.SE7toSG3 said:Fulham fan there, 3,000 squeezed onto the East Terrace in 1996? yeah right mate the new one was completed it 94 and I dont recall away fans being allocated any of it since we returned to the Valley.
