So @Airman Brown , if you were a betting man what odds would you put on a Charlton takeover in the next month?0

Interesting question. I’d put it at about 2/1 against, but that’s only because RD is bonkers.Athletico Charlton said:So @Airman Brown , if you were a betting man what odds would you put on a Charlton takeover in the next month?10 -
The dog racing times at Romford stadium have been brought forward to accommodate the far eastern TV market as they have paid for the refurbishment. Think you'll find a few quid being bet on the doggies overseas!SoundAsa£ said:I can confirm that in Indonesia (the worlds largest Muslim country), there are no casinos or openly obvious gambling establishments of any description.
However, they do gamble continuously almost on a daily basis........such as every time they get on a fucking bus..............or any form of transportation come to that!0 -
Dazzler21 said:I'd love it if Roland took the promotion money... Reduced his asking price accordingly and just fucked off at the first offer.
There’s more chance of me sprouting a twelve inch wang, developing an eight pack and becoming the biggest name in films aimed at a certain type of gentleman than that happening Dazzler.6 -
He clearly hates us, and can't bear the thought of losing money because of us. There is method in his madness.Airman Brown said:

Full radio silence from Mr Murphy.
Obviously that means the sale is imminent.
Should all be wrapped up by the weekend ;-)14 -
If he doesn't sell pretty pronto then that would appear to me to be an open invitation to go and annoy him to the Nth degree in his own backyard in Belgium.

Someone has posted a picture of Alan Curbishley at Wembley at the weekend. The “middle eastern “when he is definitely Ravi Patel from the club.
Sorry to piss on your cornflakes3 -
If he doesn’t sell in the next three weeks all the elation from promotion is gone for me, it will be another season of misery.4

Said many months that we will only be sold if one of 2 things happens:
1. RD lowers his asking price.
2. RD dies.
I'm pretty sure number 2 hasn't happened, so does anyone have any info that number 1 has?1 -
Do we as fans get a choice? Im asking for a friend, hes a hitman and works been a bit quiet lately.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Said many months that we will only be sold if one of 2 things happens:

Only seen a hoopoe twice in my life, the first time was just before RD took over, and then I see one yesterday. If that ain't cast iron tell tail sign, I'd like to know what is...
"2 weeks max", "no ifs, no buts", "it IS happening".1 -

Less than £40 million for a championship club is reasonable.7 -
I might get one then 🙂blackpool72 said:

Aston villa were bought for 62m by Xia. Not sure how much he then sold his majority stake (55%) for though, i think it was about 30m.
Dave Whelan sold Wigan for 22m last year.1 -

It’s a bit like buying a house, the headline figure looks tempting at £400k but then the owner insists on being paid an extra £50k when you put your £150k extension on and the house goes up in value.
Oh and the owner is keen to make sure that if any of the fixtures and fittings he flogged off on the cheap turn out to be undiscovered masters later, he wants any money for them too.3 -
It was a DM on Twitter from someone who has a contact, but not always reliable (the Indian investors for example?). He said a price has been agreed, but wouldn’t say how much, ‘to protect his source’, but said it was under £40m.blackpool72 said:

Of course it could all be nonsense. Wouldn’t be the first time!
But after Sunday’s euphoric victory, it would top off a great season.4 -

Was that so that they can play in the Scottish league?happyvalley said:1639, The Treaty of Berwick is signed by Charles 1 & the Scots.14 -
Good point mate. I think things like this are always easier to grasp when you put a good house buying analogy up to demonstrate.Alwaysneil said:It’s a bit like buying a house, the headline figure looks tempting at £400k but then the owner insists on being paid an extra £50k when you put your £150k extension on and the house goes up in value.
