This is an utter shambles of a situation.

It it was announced today, it will probably generate no more than an ‘at last’ muttering.
I’m still not convinced whether a takeover or a win vs Millwall will come first.

I’d like to know the truth behind this headline too. Most businesses from time to time have a push to drive costs down and encourage staff to be mindful of energy wastage, paper wastage etc. We are currently a failing business after all so doing nothing on costs is not a strategy. Likewise the loss of nutritional breakfasts. Again have we ditched platters of fresh fruit and individual diet plans or just stopped providing porridge when they want it?
Messages like this make sensational headlines like the Man Utd Kit is now nearly £200 but in reality the shirt was still c£60.
The truth would be good in order to interpret the actual impact. Maybe it’s all true but I don’t want to rely on the headline.

I agree. I think it's gone on for so long and there have been too many false dawns. IF the takeover happens this side of September I wonder how many people will wait to see how the new owners are doing before returning. In the mid 70's when Michael Gliksten was the owner we played Port Vale at home in the 3rd tier and from memory I thought there was under 4 thousand.
No social media, just local papers, phones and word of mouth.
Fans stop going when they see no ambition from owners plus we sold players from 65 to 75 that could have held there own in the top tier if we had a decent owner.
Bailey, Bonds, Glover, Campbell, Moore, kenning, Flanagan, Hales plus others coming into an established side.
I can assure younger fans we have been here before, the difference is we've a decent stadium now not a crumbling wreak of a ground.
IF we can only see the back of this flawed experiment then Adults can make their own minds up whether to invest their time, money and emotions in Cafc.21 -

I got Stanleyed as I was close to leaving the top of Marion Wilson park. Don't know who attacked me but they weren't at the match. I guess millwall.
I never for once thought about not going again even though my artery was very close to being severed. Just shows that Roland is more destructive than a bunch of thugs with knives.

I think we might be about to halt The Long Decline (obscure band reference there), and at least head the club slowly, oil tanker-like, back in the right direction.

Well, I will certainly be celebrating when the takeover finally happens. I’ll be in the White Swan as long as I’m still standing,ready to drink with any Charlton fan, bitch about the now gone Roland era, get excited about the future and tell stories of proper Charlton days gone by.

With the news regarding the cost cutting measures, it has expunged one myth put out by some non- boycotters. Namely that witholding monies from RD makes little or no difference.

Never mind about withholding money, fans should add to costs.
Maybe we could start with a campaign of faxing them black paper documents with a tiny white bit so as to use up their printer ink.
Another campaign is to purchase stuff especially food, then demand money back because it is vile.
If they are concerned about costs of cleaning stuff well extra dirt might keep cleaners in employment.
A lot of savings could be made by sacking Cojones and sending his car back.
