I suppose the board got freaked out that they interviewed a manager someone else actually wanted and wasn't sure how to deal with someone actually needing to weigh up their options.

    CLUB STATEMENT | Nebojsa Vignjevic
#BreakingNews @ujpestfc1885 have given the club permission to speak to highly rated manager Nebojsa Vignjevic. Any further announcements will be made in due course

Not funny! Made me go to the club's twitter account to check if it was true. It's not (so far)

Would have been more surprised if it had happened, who would really want to work for these people, certainly not somebody looking to have a bright future.

Look at the morons she surrounds herself with, cheap over promoted fools.

Huge respect to Chris Wilder for wanting to be a manager and not
have an Umbilical cord attached to the Owner.

While The Cockwomble is in charge, we are in chains.

Perhaps he objected to the CCTV camera Kajones wanted to put in his toilet?

    That's bollocks!

If Curbs could get his foot back in the door, I think they may have a hard job getting him out when he starts turning the club around, getting results and doing things his way. They may even grow to love him for bailing them out. Agree to everything Curbs, get the job, then do things your way, we'll all be right behind you!

Now that Wilder is out of the picture, maybe it is time to aim for another manager who has just been promoted from League Two.....who has also been at Oxford.......

    It could happen people.....

When it emerged that Sheffield United were also interested, Wilder has a decision to make.

The man who secured the League Two title for Northampton this season is based in Sheffield, and a move to the Blades would mean him being spared the upheaval of relocating his family.

    Conveniently left out this part:

'The Addicks were expected to confirm the appointment of Wilder and assistant Alan Knill today, but the deal ran into trouble last night.

It is thought the wording of the contract did not give Wilder the assurances he was seeking.'

If they can't get a League Two manager to agree terms, who on earth are they going to get!?

They've tried to ignore their disasterous PR but it's coming back to bite them now. No self respecting person, not even one looking for their big break, is going to accept the way this club is run.

Meanwhile, a respected poster on 'into the valley' this morning:

He WILL be our next manager, 200%.

That's right up there with "The money is in the bank" regarding our supposed Swedish/Turkish takeover
But not quite matching "I'd trust her with my life" from the great man himself.

Wilder probably didn't know too much about our plight until the past few days. He agreed to meet. Fine.
Problem for Duchatelet is that Wilder's got plenty of contacts in the game who have had dealings with us in the last couple of years.

It's slowly unraveling to him what a basket case club we are.

And, by extension, anyone they try to appoint now will be straight on the phone to Wilder to ask what went wrong.

Listen to Riga again to understand this: "It's not that I think I'm better than League One. You succeed in a season before the season when you have the right choices. But it's more than just about players - it's the club structure.'

His interview was brilliant, one of the words I took away was "continuity" - an ironic thing to be talking about when you're leaving, but a (and pointed) dig all the same.

A whole summer of this shit.

Might as well cancel Sky, this circus is more than enough to keep me entertained for the next 3 months.
